YOU CAN HARDLY HIT ANYONE IN FOOTBALL ANYMORE, BUT APPARENTLY IS OK FOR A STAFF MEMBER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GAME BY TRIPPING A RUNNER ON THE PLAYING FIELD......
HERE IS AN IDEA...YOUR FIRED!..JUST SAYING..

LOL.....I believe steps are being taken to ensure this guy will reap what he sows. He made a blathering fool of himself, and no doubt has lost his job as well. But, he's really an insignificant part of the team. The thing is, did the HC have him do this?........Buddy Ryan (Rex's father) was not above doing such cowardly things, and I find Buddy to be a despicable human being. Like father, like son?

We may find out soon enough, but I believe this guy will take the fall for it, w/o naming any other "co conspirators", if there are any.

The evidence + the admission = Fired and banned from NFL sidelines forever. Sal can apply for future jobs in the NFL, but if someone is crazy enough to hire him he stays home or in a booth somewhere, and not on any sidelines. What a dolt. But hey, at least dude admitted it, if it's possible to get credit for that. He could have said he was bracing for impact. So at least he's an honest schmuck, eh?We'll see how it's actually handled.

Hate to see a guy getting fired during Christmas but man that is just not acceptable....

Look at the photo, those guys have a picket fence set up. IF the gunner gets outside of the lines and doesn't come back that is a penalty. Looks to me like the whole thing was set up to trap the gunner, the contact was a last second target of opportunity.

Scumbag move? Oh yeah.

Alosi will be employed next year, be it the jets or a different org.
Most likely retained by the jets.
Rex said he doesn't believe Alosi should lose his job. "I know I'll get killed for it, and it definitely has no place in football -- but he made a mistake and he admitted it" said Ryan, 'commending' Alosi's remorse.

He trips a player and then gets rewarded with a massage?

XD

He was suspended for the rest of the year without pay...

good...

It was the most outstanding thing from the weekend, and that's saying something given the APts annihilation of the Bears and Jay Feely scoring 28 FF points. What a tool Alosi is. Doesn't he realise football is televised? WTF?

Why didn't they fire him? Isn't that basically condoning what he did? Dude said he made a mistake ? That's not a mistake. A mistake is when you forget to carry the one when doing long division. That was ABH.

Agree he should of been fired

December 14, 2010  12:42 PM ET

the player was way the heck out of bounds..... can't imagine anyone on the team told him to do this. can't imagine this trainer even thought he'd get a chance to do this type of thing. he said it was a reflex thing. sort of like he didn't even have time to think about it.... who knows. it was a extremely cheap shot and what the heck was he thinking.... no way you do that w/out being seen. again, he just did not think, but reacted in a very poor way. he deserves what he gets in this case.... and he's probably done in the NFL for a good while.
