I tried to type in the site mentioned. It said it didn't exist. Everyone on here knows the shortcomings of the Bears this season. It starts and ends mostly with the offensive line. As the offensive line goes so goes the offense or it doesn't go. The rest of the offense is more than adiquate mostly superior to most teams with Cutler being one of the strongest arms in the league and moble. He however must have time to throw and the runners need holes to run through. Obviously!!! The best thing that no one was anticipating that improved dramaticly was the coaching. The 4 main assistants have really made the Bears into a superior coached team. This is NOT due to Lovie!!! As far as us being a dominant team that can win every week we need 2 or 3 new players on the OL. After we get that look out!!! Sure the rest of the team Defense and Special teams are superior to most other teams. They however are not always enough to win us the games. Go BEARS!!!

Especially at the end of the season or in later years no one remembers any excuses.

this comment sums up the article pretty well....

There are no polls here and quality wins don't matter. Instead of wasting our time here you should be writing about the NFC West. We are 9-4 and yes we lost (games we should have won) to the Seahawks and Redskins but even if we win those games and sit 11-2 we would still only have 2 quality wins. We don't make the schedule, we just play the games. At different points in the year people predicted GB, DAL, MIN and PHI were the top teams to beat in the NFC. We beat them all. We beat DAL when they had Romo, we beat MIN when Favre was healthy. We can't help it their teams fell apart. Midway through the 4th quarter we were losing 10-3 to NYG and that was them sacking Cutler 9 times and him out of the game the 2nd half. Even with all that we were still in the hunt for the win. NE is the best team in the NFL right now and the Cleveland Browns killed them earlier this year. None of what you are saying matters. The Cards were horrible a few years ago and almost won the Super Bowl.

First thankyou Manny for the summation of the article. No matter what the Bears do in the Playoffs etc it only gives Management etc. time to fix the OL. If they can do this formidable task either the rest of this season, or in the off season they will have a team to be reconed with for the forseeable future. They have most of the rest of the parts they need to be a VERY good team. So I say look out NFL we might not be what we want to be this year but we will remember the Patriots and others in the very near future!!! Go BEARS!!!

QUOTE(#9):

People like you are going to get the rest of us honest Bears fans stuck with Lovie and Angelo for another 4 years.

You're not an honest Bears fan...you've sat on these boards for the past 3 seasons, including this one, ripping them, demoting them, turning your back on them, and pretty much claiming not to be a bears fan. So save the honesty.

QUOTE(#8):

Again we see how quality of competition means nothing to some people ...

So following your logic, any team that beats the Browns is better than NE, obviously b/c NE lost to the Browns.

QUOTE(#10):

Then why do people like me remember how horrible the Bears division was when the
Bears kept winning it under Ditka? Why is it that the only time the Bears have had stellar records lately is because of some combination of the above three reasons? I remember telling people at the Bears Super Bowl party a few years ago that if the Bears extend Lovie and Angelo's contracts that they'll regret it. I said "The only reason the Bears are doing good now is because the Bears have had easy schedules the past two years and are in a horribly weak division. When the other teams get better in their division the Bears will start dropping in the standings like a stone."

I was right.

ughh...the NFC North had a pretty well off division last year, compared to other NFC divisions, even the league. Whats changed from last year to this year from those teams? NOTHING, yet we are leading the division....4-0...care to explain?

BlackGoldII.

What you don't get, and what you failed to read, if you even read the article, was that it was about luck...nothing you have said referred to luck, or any sort of reason that the article was supporting, so what are you really trying to prove?

December 19, 2010  03:05 PM ET

As for the OP....who is hyping the Bears? Who is giving them more credit than what their season has earned them? Just sounds like an excuse to hate.

Black Gold... You have made some of the most ignorant posts I've eve read on Fan Nation. I bow to your "self appointed" intelligence.
