NFL  > Denver Broncos  > Will the Bronco's hire back Gary Kubiak?

Gary Kubiak was introduced as the second head coach in Houston Texans history on Jan. 26, 2006.

He is 36-42 as the head coach for the Texans, so he could be looking for work soon.

Gary and the Bronco's owner are friends (11 seasons as an assistant coach with the Bronco's and he did not burn any bridges when he left for Texas) and Gary is known for working with young QB's. (you know who)

He participated in 6 SuperBowls, 3 as a player losing all 3 as a Bronco. Gary coached in 3 Superbowls and won all 3 (2 with the Bronco's & 1-49ers).

I think this is a really good fit.

How about Dan Reeves?

a.) He was ridden out of Denver via John Elway, and you don't mess with Elway in Denver
b.) Older than dirt comes to mind
c.) Has not coached since 2003

give me a minute and I'll have a dozen more reasons why Dan will never coach again in Denver.

No thanks. His crappy play calling (cue the draw plays and shuttle passes) had Elway in 3rd and long most of his career.

Reeves drafted Tommy Maddox to replace Elway.

Enough said..

Elway will join the Broncos in a senior executive role by the end of the season. That's according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, who says Elway will likely be granted "broad personnel powers" as one of owner Pat Bowlens two most trusted employees.

Considering the ties Kubiak has with Elway and the Broncos it's a definite possibility if the Texans let Kubiak go.

I think he'd be a good fit myself.
The city is Houston is not very conducive for fielding a winning team anyway, so I can't say that it's his fault for the Texans floundering as they are. Bum Phillips is the only coach that was able to have a winning team in Houston with the Oilers (that I'm aware of anyway), and then he couldn't get past the Steelers.
