NCAAF  > General NCAAF  > HOW DOES CLEMOSN RECRUIT SO GOOD??????!?!?!?!
December 21, 2010, 06:05 PM
They consistently have a top 25 recruiting class and the number 2 overall class in 08 i believe. This year they have a couple 5 star prospects (depending what sites you use) 5-9 4 star recruits and a bunch of 3 stars.

This year they are on par for a top ten class maybe even a top 5 class depending on if the players that are considering Clemson commit.

What recruting tool does Clemson use that gets so many recruits, they recruit great in Florida which ticks me off lol...there a 6-6 and team and underachieve every year why do such good recruits pile into Clemson every year how do they get them?

The star ratings are flawed by self-selection. The rankings are actually determined by what schools are recruiting the kid. For example, Taylor Graham was a two-star recruit with offers from Iowa, Duke and Sparty. Once Ohio State offered him, he got bumped up a star, simply because Ohio State wanted him. So while Clemson is pulling in the "stars", they could just be missing on which kids they bring in.

Clemson is a beautiful campus located near a lake, lots of things to do.

They also pull some good players from ACC states were basketball is the prefered sport and recruite heavily in Atlanta. Probably picking up were UGA is slacking right now....

It's tough not to pick on the double-post, grammar, and typo. The U has to be kicking himself for the thread title.

Yea they seem to really recruit well in Florida which surprises me considering you got Florida, Florida State, Miami, USF, and UCF to compete with, and they also seem to recruit real well in Georgia it just impresses me that such a lack luster team recruits so well.

+1. Look at the record over time. They are getting 3 star kids that are over-hyped.

To put it another way, in the game last year TCU had better athletes on the field.
