But then again... if Lesnar could fight with a 3-1 record for the belt, why can't someone who won twice as much? :)
Let us see how the UFC people twist this so there's a perfectly good excuse why one could and the other couldn't... ;)
Duffee is just a really competitive guy with big buzz around him.
He was on his way to being a top 15 UFC guy and has the illegitimate fastest KO record. There is the contreversy surrounding his release and his relationship with Dana White as well. All that makes this an intriguing matchup to me.
And if Allistair goes in there and crushes him the way he did Rogers, I think it is a decent win. It isn't a world class win, but a solid top 20 win.
I don't think the fight is official yet as we speak?
Still not on FEG's website, but several websites are reporting that Overeem vs Duffee is confirmed. Cool.
Duffee has nothing to lose.
