Warning! Jerry Jones lovers, this article is NOT for you.

???We're not going to force people not to come here. They're going to come here whether we like it or not. They're going to have an impact on our infrastructure whether we like it or not. We have no way of closing our borders.???

???Look, many of us here are regular marines ... I will die as a marine because that is my dream.???

???It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if we didn't have a salary cap.???

"Nobody is thinking they're going to come out here and put a team here and become a multimillionaire. I don't know anybody that comes into the NFL like that."

???I???m embarrassed,??? Jones said. ???Of course I am. And to every fan, I should have and do take the ultimate, ultimate responsibility. I do. That???s the way we???re structured. That???s the way I run it. There???s no question that I have the plan and executing it to have the best players and the best coaching that we can have. I???m dumbfounded that we are 1-7.??? At the time, the Cowboys were 1-6, having just been beaten by the Jags.

Here's some interesting sites and some where I found the above quotes. The 2nd one is a FN article, while the 3rd one, I think, is a drunk Jerry.

QUOTE(#2):

IMO Jerry Jones is a clown...To make such a statement, you need evidence to back it up.In the twenty five years that Jerry Jones has owned the Dallas Cowboys he has also been the General Manager. In those twenty five years that he has been a GM, he has never drafted an offensive lineman in the first two rounds. Without the 11 for 1 trade for Herschel Walkerwith the Vikings, without that trade this team would be right where they are when he bought them...pathetic. This trade netted the Cowboys seven starters in 3 Super Bowls, including Emmitt SmithUntil this ego maniac hires a General Manager, the Cowboys will continue to be an also ran.Jerry Jones needs to decide if he is going to be the Owner or GM.

I can't argue with you, BG..............lol......all of these quotes I put here come straight from the horse's mouth. I put the links in as well, to back those up. And, I did copy and paste because of the ? marks all over it. Jerry is going to continue doing as he's always has......he said as much the other night before the Cowboys/Cardinals game.

"5-11 for another 2 years"

I agree, with you BGDUECE. Jerry Jones greatly benefited from that trade for Herschel Walker. That trade was the catalyst for all those Cowboy Super Bowls.

Jerry wanted credit for that too, but it was Jimmy who did the deal, and I can almost guarantee you that it irks His Nibs to this day that he didn't get the credit he thinks he deserves for that highway robbery.........well, you can't rob the willing, but.........

Fixing the Dallas Cowboys...Jerry Jones has got to go!

Saw this on youtube and thought of the Cowboy fans who do not support J.J.

That early 90's Cowboy team has to rank with one of the greatest of all time.

And Jimmy Johnson was responsible for that one.

Jimmy had the unenvyable task of cutting the Texas legends that were still hanging around from the 70's. People hated him for it, even though they knew these guys were to old to play. At the time he made the trade to Mini-soda people thought Jimmy was insane...trading away his one good player for draft picks. But Jimmy knew more than his critics and turned each one of those picks into 2 more. Said Jimmy in his book, "I made that trade with the idea of getting more picks out of them. For these players to make the team they'd have had to have played superhuman".

The Cowboys are turning into the NFC's version of the Raiders.

jimmy did make those deals. we don't have that kind of mind in the organization now. i agree that dallas is slowly turning into a very average team (at best this yr) and this trend is likely to continue for years. what can break this trend? new GM, coaches, just an overhaul of the current attitude of this team. as badly as JJ wants to win.... and he does want to win, his approach is "off" and he will never see that it was johnson that made the deals that made this team so strong in the 90s. and it will take that kind of knowledge to get us back to the glory days. right now... we are as far from those days as most other "average" teams are. really, there are but a handful of teams today that have a chance to win a SB.... maybe 5 or 6. the rest have no chance and dallas has been in this group for over a decade.

Mike, I don't see any changes. As long as this meddling idiot keeps believing that he's a GM, this team is not going anywhere. He is NOT going to step down as GM, and said as much before the Cards game. BG is right.......The Cowboys will always be an also ran, until he gets out of the GM business.

All of these Jerry supporters are fooling themselves, thinking he is some wizard. There are a lot being fooled too, because they keep buying tickets and merchandise, and that's right up his alley.

Jerry is one heck of a business man - no doubt about it. When you look at what they were worth when he bought them and what they're worth now - there's no comparison.

But he's already said that him and his family decide who to draft.

Why? They can't be fired. It's the coaches job on the line, it's his career why are you letting your family choose?

How does that work exactly? They sit around a Monopoly board...."OK, I'll trade you Marvin Gardens for Park place and I'll let you pick our player in the second round"?

So the coach ends up with players he dont want and is forced to win with them.

I've said it before and I'll say it again....the 'Boys are the NFC's version of the Raiders. A franchise run by a man that's out of touch with reality.

It boggles the mind, doesn't it? You would think this man would GET IT! Even after this disaster, he's still adamant about being the GM.

I used to get all pumped up when the Cowboys were contenders and had a chance to go somewhere......but, the last few years, I just watch them play, then go on with whatever rat killing my wife has for me to do around here.....Maybe I'll start watching Cow Pasture Pool or something.

~~sigh~~
