No argument here Mr Ice. I love the time zone out there.

Was a great game. Strong defensive showing by TCU, good game by both teams. Maybe some day the B10 will get MWC speed.
Okay...many people think it's funny that fans of one SEC team will root for other SEC teams during bowl week and when they play OOC teams.....but rooting for a bowl? Even when a PAC-10 team isn't even playing in it??
Now that's crazy!

You sound like a young guy Gator. Or maybe the fact that where you live/grew up, doesn't have a game like the Rose Bowl. Alot of people understand exactly where I am coming from, and it's not completely crazy. LOL

I wish I was a young Gator. No...I was in school with Emmitt Smith. Long before the Gators won their first SEC championship.
And, yes, I appreciate the Rose Bowl's tradition. But....I think it's funny when people compare bowls.

but as the game was starting, I felt my heart racing. Damn I love this game.
It was definitely an incredible sight. The Rose has the best or 1 of the best atmospheres of any bowl game year in and year out.
To me, New Year's Day is the Tournament of Roses and the Rose Bowl.
And the scene at the end - after TCU won - was just amazing.
It just doesn't get any better than that!

I gotcha. And to a lesser degree (for me anyway), the Orange, the Sugar, and the Cotton bowls carry the same weight. The big four Jan 1 bowls growing up.
Oh man, the memories...watching the the Cotton Bowl, then the Sugar and/or Rose Bowl and then the Orange Bowl with it's half-time festivities...those were some years.
Loved/hated when Joe Montana and Notre Dame came in and beat Houston during the Ice Bowl. Was living in Irving then and that was some Ice Storm....dam...

Sadly... the Cotton has become the step-child. Im sure it has something to do with ESPN taking over the world.. But the Cotton Bowl on Jan 7... WTF?
