NCAAF  > General NCAAF  > OHIO STATE THE BEST THE BIG 10 HAS TO OFFER
January 5, 2011, 01:08 AM
I know it was'nt pretty in the second half. Ohio State played vintage Tressel ball but it was enough to win the Sugar Bowl and get the monkey off their back.Same old story a tale of two halves. Ohio State proved tonight they could run and play with the SEC.They clearly are the best team the conference has to offer and it seems they will be for a long time. The only thing that puts a damper on this victory is the selfish behavior of some athletes who will pay the price next year if they come back and the arrogance of the NCAA for allowing them to play in this game.

They certainly beat a very good football team tonight. The OSU defense certainly cannot be considered bush league after that performance.

Not sure. IMHO TCU would take them (TP would have to run inside and that is not his thing) by more than they beat WISC by. tOSU is certainly better than everyone else but WISC though. And next year tOSU should be top 10 or top 5 material again.

Harley, any other team than the sec and I agree. Since it was team sec, I think it is still pretty dang SWEET!

GO BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OSU Finally beats a 3rd rate SEC team. Whoopy...

Yahoo has a fairly rough article on the off-field stuff. Based on recent calls the NCAA has made I think the Sugar results have a strong chance of being voided.

I told ya WB, didn't I?

Seems Columbus has some good used car dealers too.

A SEC team that was ranked #8 in the country. Pretty good win against a top10 team. Quit bellyaching.

Well WB, as the kids say, the haters are gonna hate. At this point, I'm just going to sit back for a day or two and try to enjoy the win.

Congrats to the Bucks. Big win against a quality SEC opponent. Arky had their chances and didn't come through, so any bellyaching is just sour grapes.

New?? Man this is AL. We all drive vintage chargers outfitted like Bo and Luke Duke's General Lee. Don't think TP has that one in Columbus!

Yeah going 10-3 (6-2) in the BEST conference in the country and getting the SEC's other BCS bid really makes Arkansas a 3rd rate team. You must be yet another Ohio State hater...good for you! Would you like some cheese with your whine?

That would be a crying shame.

The NCAA, (stupidly) allowed for Ohio State to play those who disobeyed rules. They can't just decide after the game that those players weren't eligible.
