NCAAF  > General NCAAF  > TCU Billboards in Columbus Ohio - Who Didi It?
January 8, 2011, 11:33 AM
An unidentified person or group has paid for 20 billboards in the Columbus area that read "Congratulations to TCU for their BCS Rose Bowl Victory. - From the Little Sisters of the Poor."

Billboard owner Clear Channel said a "TCU interest from outside of Ohio" purchased the billboards but, for privacy reasons, they cannot release the name.

Who did it? TCU fan? Boise fan? Boise president? Orin Hatch?

P.S. I know this is lame but it's a slow day ...

Weird.

I'm not sure who paid for the ads, but I know for sure that TCUFanFuture was one of the subcontractors hired out to do the work and TCUFan in turn hired Superior2uSon as one of his crew leaders!

Actually, Superior2uSon is a pretty good worker. I can't understand a word he says when he's talking, but you shoulda seen him work his butt off on anything that PUNKS DA BIG10.
HOLLLLLLLLA.

LMAO! That's funny!

Yet another reason to have a playoff. Even schools hundreds of miles away who never play each other are rivals!

BTW, it's TCU Rose Bowl Champs for the next year. :)
I'm expecting EWO to come on here any minute talking about insecurity issues among non-AQ schools and sippy cups which happen to be two of his favorite subjects, so much that you wonder if it's because his mom took away his sippy cup when he was still insecure. Correlation there somewhere? Chill, EWO.
anyway, this was on the national news this morning and it is kinda funny.

And thanks, Doc - nice thread. Will you go to any games next year?

Yes ... definitely ... but those complimentary tickets from my company will probably dry up. New (expanded) stadium, new conference, different/name-recognition teams coming to town probably means sellouts and no more free lunch!

PS the complimentary tickets were always on the visitor's side and it was a blast to sit amongst the MWC fans - all painted up and shirtless in freezing blustery weather. The MWC had some great traveling fans. Here's hoping for the same from the Big East.

I always imagined Superior2uSon sounding like Boomhauer from "King of the Hill".

And the billboards are pure comic genius. Gloat on TCU RBC!

I thank the TCU group for supporting the Columbus Ohio Economy! I guess the Little Sisters of the poor got a little tooo much money!

There's actually a lot of rich oil guys that went to TCU! Everytime someone in Columbus fills their gas tank it's just going right back in the Little Sisters pocket.

Yes, but they HAD to go into this line of work in order to repay their student loans!

I'm a MWC fan, used to be a UNLV hoops season ticket holder before I moved, and TCU's been on quite a roll of late. Are you really saying that the MWC top to bottom is a better football conference than the Big Ten?

I don't think this is what he is saying...but the top team is good and they should have been given some consideration for the NC and they showed that they can play and beat an AQC. We will see what happens next year.

Oh yeah, different story for TCU next year. It's gonna be weird seeing them in the Big East. Hate to see 'em leave the MWC though.

When teams like BYU, Utah and Air Force came to town it was hard to get a ticket. The MWC was underrated nationally but local fans knew good football and paid to see it.

That's funny as hell!
