The Yankees need Texiera. A switch hitter with power and good defense, He makes the lineup better and more flexible. Manny is not the answer. Look at the age difference then look at how many games difference between Manny's production and Texiera's. Could be the same! And, Texiera could be cheaper annually although he wants a long term contract. To me this is a no brainer. If he goes to the Red Sox the Yanks can kiss a division title goodbye. They need him now more than another pitcher. Go get him! Money doesn't seem to matter to the Yankees, which is a shame.
