I guess I am being too hard on Fisher and the new coaches. If the talent we have sucks, they can try to dress up **** all they want, but it's still gonna be ****

i totally agree with starting Lee. everyone in the country may agree with that. i guess the coaches see something that absolutely nobody else sees. well, there was 1 idiot at the game watching party last night that said "weatherford made some nice throws, i think he played well"

hahaha

By no means am I a Weatherford fan...at least no more than I'm a fan of any of our other QBs...but I don't think last night was his problem. Sure, he took sacks like an idiot when he should've thrown the ball away...ANYWHERE...but our line was miserable. Even on there non-blitz plays, we couldn't keep them off him. I don't think any QB could've done well in that situation.

I was disappointed about no long balls...but the WRs weren't getting open either. It was a miserable attempt at the game of football...but I don't lay blame solely on Weatherford, nor do I think Lee or Ponder could've done any better.

I'm not placing th blame soley on Weatherford because the entire team played poorly, but make no mistake about it, Lee simply gives us a better chance to win. At least he has the ability to throw the ball downfield and the ability to get away from the pressure. Drew is slow, stupid, and extremely non talented. He will always be an average QB at best. If we use Lee the right way, we at least have a chance. Did you see the Maryland game last season? That is the one game that we have been creative in the last 5 years and we had 500 yards of offense. Start Lee and design plays that fit his style. Weatherford's style is shotgun with a prayer that there is no pass rush. Then we have to worry about him being able to even get the ball to a WR.

All that said, I totally agree that last night's problem was the entire team, not just Drew. I just don't think we can be succesful with Drew. He wouldn't be a starter for 95% of D-1 teams. And trust me, last night we would have at least had a chance to win with Lee. With Drew, we are done from the start

You're probably right. With a reworked QB scheme, Lee very well may be the answer. With our current formations though, I'm not confident in any QB.
