I may be totally alone on this one, but I really thought Georgia Tech was a better team than what they showed Saturday. Sure, that Notre Dame win keeps becoming less and less of an accomplishment as the losses rack up in South Bend, but didn't the Jackets look like they had a good team? And to lose to Virginia? Who'd have picked that one? Not me! How about the Canes? After being walked all over by Oklahoma just 2 weeks ago, Miami put it back together and knocked off Texas A&M, who, though they weren't a great team, was still a pretty good Top 25 team. I don't expect the U to roll over the rest of their opponents, but it's nice to see that certain ACC teams still have a little bite.

The loss by Georgia Tech and Miami's win, plus Wake Forest catching their stride against Maryland brought about a 5 & 3 record last week, bringing my total to 28 of 38..

Duke & Miami = Miami. In Miami...yeah, it could be ugly for the Blue Devils.

North Carolina @ VT = Virginia Tech

Massachusetts @ Boston College = BC. Boston College struggled a bit against Army last week, but don't expect the 4-0 Minutemen to notch another win. The Eagles will roll in Chestnut Hill.

Clemson @ GT = Clemson. If you'd have asked me about this last week, I probably would've gone with Tech. A lot can change with a loss to Virginia.

Louisville @ NC State = Louisville. Sure they have no defense. But NC State doesn't have enough offense to matter. Don't expect another Syracuse.

Maryland @ Rutgers = Rutgers

Bama @ FSU = FSU. Regardless of the outcome, this should really be a good game. National TV time and 2 teams that look to be about even.

Pittsburg @ Virginia = Virginia

i dont really disagree with any, but just for the sake of changing it up, give me the wreck over clemson

dont be surprised to see UL at least struggle with nc state. ANYBODY can put up 40 points on this team.

also, i HAVE to pick my noles against Saban's punk ****, but i wouldnt exactly call these teams even. bama's offense isnt very good but their defense is much better at this point

Our rushing defense is 12th right now and overall defense is 23rd (or 28th...I can't remember). Granted, our only quality opponent has been Clemson, but Alabama hasn't played the best of the best either. They beat Arkansas (barely)...who then went and lost to Kentucky.

Louisville is truly sad. All that offense and no defense to win games.

please send a link to those defensive stats. i know we did well against colorado, but didnt clemson and uab have about 800 total yards combined against us at least?

Bama hasn't impressed me that much either by the way

they lost in OT to uga (loved it) and they didn't look bad in that game

Our D will be fine. It's the OL I'm still worried about.

September 27, 2007  11:28 AM ET

ahhhhhhh i cant believe you are still saying that

much love though im not gonna continue to argue it. i was glad to see the linebackers finally show up in the last game. if we could get roger williams on the bench we'd be better off for sure!

DC...

Go to page 12 of the following link. It's the weekly media schedule. Box on the left side shows current NCAA rankins.

We're 12th in rushing defense and 23rd in total defense.

thanks chief. how is renegade doing these days?

i saw the stats and confirmed on yahoo. that colorado game really helped those numbers out i guess

we did give up about 340 yards to uab though

DC, don't know if this will make you feel any better or not, but Colorado had -27 rushing yards against us. They played Miami (OH) last week and totaled 359 rushing yards!

Thats awesome Chad. I was not aware of the Buffs rushing yards last week!

im of course more worried about our pass defense, but we'll be ok
