Depends on where he ends up. Would be a step up for about 1/2 the 1-A programs out there. If he went to a good school that will have a new QB next year (TCU or Clemson for example) he could make a pretty big impact.
QUOTE(#2):
He should look at UF or maybe Q's
UF is going pro-style, my friend. Oregon could be interesting.

Oregon doesn't need him. He'd be better off choosing a school without an established starter. Personally, I think he's destined for the MAC.

I don't think it'll be the MAC. No matter where he goes, he has to sit a year. I forgot the Thomas is only going to be a sophomore and not a junior. Tate was very heavily recruited out of high school, I'm sure some team with an anticipated opening will welcome him.
Hmmm, maybe Miss St?
Dan Mullen knows how to coach a QB, not sure of the fit into the overall scheme but I think Mullen could tweak things to use the young man effectively.
Actually, now that I think about it he should follow in Ryan Mallet's footsteps. He declared for the NFL draft so I'm sure Arkansas would love to poach another Michigan quarterback.

Don't they have a pretty studly backup already? Wilson or something like that? Had some good stats against Aubie when Mallett was hurt, didn't he?
Did is IQ just go up?
If he transfers to an SEC school, his 40 time will drop by .5 too.
He's not going anywhere until he gets his grades up-- that's why he's leaving...

Same as Chris Carter son did maybe they could play on the same team!
Forcier's from San Diego, so I could see him coming back out West. Only question then, is where? SDSU, runs a pro style, USC and Stanford run pro styles and neither of them need a QB (plus, his grades wouldn't get him in at Stanford). UCLA? Maybe.
But who knows where his priorities lie. He picked the snowy midwest over his homestate once, no reason why he wouldn't do it again.

UCLA is not an easy school to get into either. They do need a quarterback in the worst way, but if he's not able to remain academically eligible now I don't see them taking him. I don't see any Pac 12 school taking him but you never know.

Colorado perhaps.

Tyler Wilson maybe. I remember watching that game and thinking, damn! Just when Mallet is leaving this kid is waiting in the wings. He's going to be an excellent replacement for Mallet.

I agree. However, UCLA, Cal, and USC all make exceptions for athletes. Not saying he'll go to Cal or USC, but UCLA is possible if he has any interest. I think he'd fit in well with the pistol offense.
But you're probably right. Tate ending up in the Pac-12 probably won't happen.

SC and Cal don't need quarterbacks though. Armpit suggested Colorado. I have no idea who is sitting behind the ex-coach's son on the quarterback depth chart there. Maybe they'd be interested. I'm not sure their new to the college game coaching staff will be ready to take advantage, but you never know.
Gator's prediction has to be the odds on favorite of the suggestions so far, IMO.

Right, I wasn't suggesting he'd end up with Cal or USC.
Colorado is a possibility too.
Truth is, I have no idea where he'll go. Maybe he'll end up at some D-IAA school. Who knows.

I do think he would be a good fit at TCU as long as he keeps his whining in check.
