CHONGQUING, China - Carli Lloyd scored for a second time in three games and helped the United States to a 2-0 victory over host China on Tuesday and the title at the Yongchuan Cup Four Nations Tournament.

The victory finished the United States with six points, same as Canada which earlier Tuesday beat Sweden 1-0. But the Americans took home the trophy due to its 2-1 victory over Canada on Sunday, a seventh straight win against its northern rival that extended its unbeaten streak to 22 between the two.

Lloyd, who had the lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Sweden on Friday, put the Americans ahead in the 31st and Amy Rodriguez added the insurance in the 67th.

"It's so much more fun to win," U.S. coach Pia Sundhage said. "We took some good things from the loss to Sweden, and that's one of the reasons we stepped up a little bit against Canada. We took certain things from the 2-1 win against Canada and I think today we ended up controlling the game."

It was the seventh time the United States has won the Chinese event in eight trips.

Earlier, Christine Sinclair scored her third goal of the tournament in the 32nd minute, lifting Canada past Sweden.

Sinclair was chosen the tournament's most valuable player.

"She was amazing," Canada coach Carolina Morace said. "She has turbo jets and she is not even in her best condition."

Both teams are preparing for the Women's World Cup June 26-July 17 in Germany. The United States has not announced its next opponent while Canada will travel to the Cyprus Cup in March.

I would've been surprised if China had won!
