Now why would the Knicks get a potential disaster such as Ron Artest, Unknown Devin Ebanks, & an old Nazr Mohammed instead of just netting Gerald Wallace for themselves?

Bad move for Lakers, Artest as nutty as he is gives the Lakers a much needed "attitude" on defense. Shannon Brown is an emerging player with huge upside. He's a crowd pleaser with those dunks, ( mini Griffin? )

I haven't heard this trade rumor anywhere else, but all 3 teams lose if the deal is made. What a bad trade. It'll never happen.

If the Lakers trade Artest, they will be losing their ability to have 2 good defenders on the Celts Allen and Pierce or Miami's Wade and LeBron...

Bad move for LA but if NY could do it, it would give them some D for once...

I think it's a win for the Lakers. Wallace is a good scorer and rebounder and descent defender. And if anyone watched the Knicks vs Heat last night, Shawne Williams defended Lebron very well.

And the Knicks clear up some money getting rid of Curry and move Chandler so Melo has that spot when he comes via FA or trade. And the Knicks need a big man an Nazr is a good low post defender and 6 more fouls against Dwight if they meet them in the playoffs. And then you add Artest to the Knicks which would help with the Heat and Celtics.

If I was knicks I would take Artest they don't need his scoring they need someone to play defense in the playoff when they play boston, Miami, and Orllando
