Bears fans ... ohhhh ... what COULD have been!

Any guesses as to where he'll end up?

DAYUM.....

Yeah that was awful dumb of the Titans and kind of crappy with the timing too. There are no more openings for a Head Coach now so Fisher wont be jumping on with a new team right away. Looks like he gets a nice parting gift though with that buyout.

you know the timing was on purpose, I wonder if he flipped him off as he was firing him, haha.

LOL!

Maybe Bud Adams figures there won't be a NFL season next year and figures he can do without a head coach.

I guess if this could happen to Shottenheimer in KC and Shanahan in Denver, why not Fisher? But unless they have a younger genius on their staff waiting to promoted into the HC position, I don't see how this can be a good move - at least not right away.Could a sales pitch to Cowher be in the works?I'd just LOVE to be a fly on the wall to hear the details of this one ...

Same here. You just know there's a whole backstory there that hasn't come out yet.

Isn't that the truth, Cowher is still available as well but the Bears trouble starts and lies at the top with Virginia and Phillips and no worth while coach would work under their conditions and would want some say so in personal.

Insanity. They had already dumped Vince Young. You have to wonder what really happened behind the scenes. Oh well, Fisher will still get paid and will be a hot commodity in a year. Because you know some of the hot seat coaches are going to get the axe.

How ironic would it be if he were to return to Houston to replace Gary Kubiak next year?

This is actually a good move by the Titans and it makes a lot of sense. Fisher had to hire a whole new defensive staff because of Chuck Cecil was not brought back and Jim Washburn moved over to the Eagles. The Titans need a new quarterback and a few other parts. Jeff was not spectacular and he has had some major losing streaks the past few years. I think Jeff wanted out anyway. He was in the last year of his contract and he had to make the playoffs to get an extension. Which is somewhat crazy but that is Bud Adams.

Yeah. It was time and the team played like it too.
