um. hoke's a DT dude. I would make an argument for a tackle eligible play on the goal line, but short yards should go to a beefy HB or a FB.
well that would be intresting but not likley i think fwp is still a little gun shy ive seen the holes he just not hitting them with authority like he use too he will come around i see a hundred yard game coming
I agree that they need help on goal line situations. I can't believe they go away from the monster fullback in the backfield in those instances. Does anyone remember Dan Kreider the blocking back for Bettis, Willie, etc. They need a big guy like that again. Sean McHugh, a tight end has been doing a good job blocking but he can't pick the extra rusher like a back can.
YES I REMEMBER DAN KREIDER. I STILL THINK IT WAS A BIG MISTAKE LETTING HIM GO. I BELIVE HES WITH ST LOUIS NOW.
The Critter just got released by St Louis. Parker's best years were running behind him, look at Ladanian Tomlinson's numbers after they got rid of Lorenzo Neal. PUT A FULLBACK IN ON GOAL LINE SITUTATIONS! And after today fire Bruce Arians too!

I couldn't agree with you more, the "O" line isn't physical enough they need the Critter back there. Perhaps they will get the message here hopefully sooner, rather than later. Thank God for the bye week, we need to go back re-group and let this one marinate a little. Did anyone see how they disrespected the "Terrible Towel". Hmmmm shades of another team that pulled that stunt.
The Steelers should put Chris Hoke in as a specialty short yardage back. They need to do something to shake things up for 4th and 1 situations.
if i was going to start using anyone from a different position as a back on short yardage it would be Harrison. the guy is an animal and he loves to step up for the team.
Hahaha. It does not matter whose back there. Arians is screwed up for calling a goal line run out of the tight formations. This is the NFL...who can he possibly think he's fooling. You can use either one of our backs as long as you spread out the defense with 2, 3 or 4 WRs.

Hey, check out my TD...it talks about Arians and the reasons why our offense struggles.

1st off they need a big back no matter what - parker does not get it done unless he can hit it to the outside. Look at the big back the Ravens have now and what he did to our D. We need another Big back that can run the ball get rid of parker Keep Mppre and draft a big running back that can smash the hell out of a defense.

we actually wont be seeing titans, Ravens will knock them out and if we win AFC championship at home!
Agreed that we need a big back. It would be nice to have the tandem effort of two backs and it would take some of the carries off Willie. That being said, the O line definitely needs some help, hopefully we can pick up some support in the coming year. I have no faith in Arians whatsoever, his answer in a 3 and 7 position is to run a reverse??? or a slant to Hines Ward at the line of scrimmage. Please! Overall, I love our team, and I think the world of their skill, heart and character. Looking forward to the Chargers!
I am glad everyone seems to agree, the team needs a FB and get rid of Arians. I always end up on the edge of my seat when they get inside the five, because I just don't have that faith that they can punch it in. Get a fullback back in there
why dont they give casey hampton a try on the goal line? he played some fullback in highschool and college, think of what Refrigerator Perry did for the bears, that kind of concept whether its blocking or he punches it in himself give Big Snack a try.
