And ND...blame it on CW

UF will be in top 10 only if some players change their commitments. There aren't enough 4 and 5 star players left uncommitted that are looking at UF to put them in the top 10.

Is this your list?

Coaching turnover always an issue.

so why is Stanford on the list?

January 31, 2011  12:00 PM ET
QUOTE:

My List yes. After reading a few recruiting news services. I based my selections on team needs not necessarily 4 or 5 star recruits since I don't put a whole lot of stock in those rankings.

What about FSU? They've recruited strongly across the board.

Agreed, they should be in the top 10!

Because they will get the top academic athletes, the Ivy league does'nt give scholarships.

That might be in name only. How many Ivy League athletes get scholarships based on need?

January 31, 2011  12:15 PM ET

My top 10 based on rumor and innuendo:

1. Auburn
2. FSU
3. Alabama
4. Georgia
5. Texas
6. tOSU
7. USC
8. ND
9. Oregon
10. LSU

Average cost $42,000 they can't give that much need. I know how the Ivy league works. Stanford scholarship Pac 10 Bowl Game and possible NC Game. That is why the best of the smartest will go to Stanford.Where is your list you are getting off track.

but doesn't harvard pay the way for every student they accept whose parents make less than 60k? My impression and experience with one of them is that most students at Ivy league schools get some assistance varying on need.

1. FSU

2. Auburn

3. LSU

4. OU

5. Ohio State, pending one more big name...

Braxton Miller puts them in the top 5 for good. Pryor who?

Actually I want to see Guiton play a few rep's as well as TP high school rb get some carries.

Doc Saturday is reporting that USC has probably lost a high profile commit to Oregon. This is doubly disturbing because the player is from Crenshaw High, which is about a mile from USC's campus.

January 31, 2011  12:40 PM ET

I was thinking Aundrey Walker, Curtis Grant, etc...

Cardale Jones was offered too, so things are getting interesting down the stretch, could bump the Bucks higher than 5

Team A gets 25 commits (three-5*, nine-4*, thirteen-3*).
Team B gets 32 commits (two-5*, eleven-4*, nineteen-3*).

Which one has the higher ranked recruiting class?

I would give it to the one who paid the least amount of money!

Lets see your list Gator.

Honestly, I haven't put any time into keeping up this year, WB, sorry. .

Tried to hang with the status of the Gators commits but then the coaching changes got going, and my real-life kinda got in the way too, so I have no decent info to judge. Just mainly heard the Noles were doing well, and the Gators were trying to scramble and make do with the new coaches on the road.

Your Gators will be back as well.

We're lucky the whole East division is down right along with us, it'd be tougher for UF to get back to the top if UTk or UGa were peaking now. SOS may be able to keep building USCe into a regular East contender, not so sure of that, though. Only time will tell, like you said it's a cycle for sure.
