@EGent- Sounds like you have gotten a little to caught up in the political revolutions around the world in your call for Rooney and other owners to replace Goodell as commissioner.

He wasnt corrupting a minor she was twenty and the bar was serving her liquor and so was the other two bars that she followed him to. Im not saying what he did was right but she was no angel either. How many people who scream about Big Ben have ever had a sexual encounter while you or your partner were drinking. If your partner was drinking guess what legaly they are unable to give consent. As far as Big Ben being the only guy accused of sexual assault is just wrong. Look at the list of NFL arrests there are a ton of sexual assaults. Mark Sanchez himself was arrested (Big Ben was not) for sexual assault at USC we dont hear about that story. I have three kids and I teach them that people who throw balls are not role models.

Yah I think rape is terrible and un excusable and Ben shouldn't put himself in those situations. But what kind of girl even goes into a mens bathroom in the firstplace? Why wasn't he charged? If she was paid off then she wasn't that upset about it to begin with. The police even said we don't prosicute morals. Roger Goodell needs a piece and thinks he is god.

I think it would be a dead issue if he wasn't playing in the Superbowl (ie. Favre). I think the fact that he said he wants to be a role model, shows he needs to change and grow up so to speak. Can't fault a guy for wanting to be a better person.
As for blaming Goodell, don't forget the Rooney's were going to punish Ben if the league didn't. Ben could have been gone if Goodell didn't take action. So, be careful where you point the blame. That suspension could have been the best thing to happen to the Steelers. They always do better when the odds are stacked against them and they have a chip on their shoulder. Go Steelers!!
