NFL  > General NFL  > NFL says is losing money but they don't show the players "THE BEEF" something smells here!

The owners want the players to take less money while the cowboys Mr. Jones build a palace in Dallas, according to Forbes 30 of the 32 teams made money last year.
Not bad when you consider most of us"working folks" are having a hard time.
Here is some of the values of NFL team(from Forbes):

"Behind the Cowboys, the Washington Redskins are the NFL???s second-most valuable franchise at $1.55 billion, followed by the New England Patriots at $1.37 billion. Half the league???s teams are worth at least $1 billion."
Now that is some beef....

The owners only get richer because WE THE FANS let them, by buying tickets, merchandise and whatever. If the fans would quit doing those things, watch and see how quickly things would change.

People by these things because for some it is an investment (like baseball cards). I look at all of it as junk. I laugh every time someone pays a huge amount of money for a collectible because I know that then they must insure that item somehow. There is usually a time when the bubble bursts and the money runs out and people realize that it was all overvalued, example: the housing market.

I bought one "official" NFL product this season. MADE in China............. really?

You forgot to tell us what it was you bought? Did you buy it at WalMart? Their slogan is "All our products are made in Chinese sweatshops and sold in our very own American minimum wage retail stores". And that is why every one of their family members is a Billionaire. It is a combination of Chinese and American workers sweat and toil and the desire of Americans to buy cheap plastic junk.

I buy most of my NFL gear like hoodies, t-shirts, and sweatshirts after season when they are on the bargain rack.I know it still goes to making them money, but a $60 hoodie for under $30 isn`t helping them quite as much.

Amen!

My mother realized that as a kid I was a 49er fan so she decided it would be cute if she designed my room with all 49er paraphernalia, sheets, blankets, underwear, hats, rug, chair, clock, lamp, banners and posters. The things you put up with to make your parents happy. Well when I reached my teens I replaced it all with just about anything that glowed under a black light (posters, bedspread) bean bag chairs, a bong, lava lamps, a fish tank with neon tetras and other brightly colored fish, tie dye t-shirts and underwear.
