The fact the Packers never gave up the lead was the biggest thing for me.
I found it weird the Steelers were running the ball like they had lead and they were picking up a lot of yards. I figured they would take more shots throwing with Woodson out of the game. I don't know if it was just me but I found the Steelers were chewing up more of their own time then being agressive to taking the lead? It just seemed like the Steelers were very under prepared on both sides of the ball or Ben was really hurting bad with his planting foot to gun the ball because i kept saying why is Wallace running crossing routes instead of down field and it had to be because of Ben's foot.

The Packers never trailed in this game and could have blown Pittsburgh out if Jones & Nelson had hung on to their TD passes.

I have heard of Steeler fans complaining about the predictability of Bruce Arians' play calling. I don't know what the case was. But by the look of things the Packers were forcing Ben to throw underneath. And he really didn't take advantage of it. Nor did the play calling try to capitalize on it either. But the Steelers are running team. And running got them back into this ball game. So I can only say but so much. And who knows how much Emmanuel Sanders not finishing the game effected what Pittsburgh wanted to do.

Not much because Randel El was making plays in his place.
I agree that it wasn't just one play that won or lost the game but many on both sides. You could blame the Steelers' offense and the turnovers for the loss but the defense didn't make many plays when it needed to either.

I agree, the Packers didn't play as strong as people are saying they did. They just played stronger than the Steelers. The Packers had their fair share of goof ups too.

Agreed, the Pack really just did more than the Steelers, Rodgers had a good day (as evidenced by the MVP), but it was the Packers defense that got it done for them. The Steelers were undone by turnovers and the Mendenhall fumble was killer as the Steelers were driving. Neither team played great, but I think that can be accredited to the other team. The Steelers blitz gave A-Rod no time to throw and were in the GB receivers heads (i think the drops were due to lack of super bowl experience as well as worrying about getting drilled by the hard hitting Steeler D) and the Packers defense did a great job forcing turnovers.

Big time difference in speed. That's why I said what I said. Sanders is just as fast as Wallace is and he balances off the other side of the field. Heath Miller was absent from this game too.

I think the Packer drops were more a factor of concentration and playing time. They weren't sharp on their timing. And certainly some balls were there before they were ready. You could see in both teams though. That week layoff played into it.

Jones has a history of drops, but Nelson's drops really surprised me. Luckily he generally made a play to make up for it.

Pittsburgh's secondary has long been a weakness but Dick Lebeau has done a good job of concealing it. But Pittsburgh does not have cover corners.
