I agree with your analysis, but man how can the Broncos be so lame when all they had to do was Win 1 at Home. Now its uphill and be ready too fight for your life in San Diego. No excuses for the Broncos, Stokley had both hands on that football in the end zone and lost it. Losing to the Bills at Home is pure sadness. Broncos you should be ashamed. I would get rid of Shanahan, Defense Coach, Bailey, and Bly!!! These guys are worthless. Shanahan has been there too long and didn't have the balls to fire their Genius Defensive Coach, Chump Bailey gets hurt too much and Bly couldn't cover a some one in a wheel chair!!! Shame on the Broncos!!!

They need the rook at middle lineback, Nate couldn't catch a cold. he is too slow. He makes really bad reads. Who cares if his helmet falls off. He can't fend of a block. Every play he is a step or two out of position, and that is on good plays. They need to blitz every play. Then basically knock that egomaniac from sd <crybabies> out for a year or two. Brandon has been consistent all year. Baby TO, yea that right. All he does is drop the ball. Short arm the ball, and cutler needs to work on his touch. Even Elway had to learn the touch pass. That kid they have doing the play calling. Sorry, but he is showing his experience. Shannahan needs to take the reins back. The kid isn't getting it done. Quarterback coach, where! We don't look like we have one. Cutler keeps makin the same mistakes. Shannahan keeps stating these guys need to motivate themselves. Well that hasn't worked all year. If you can't motivate them COACH! Then it is time to move you elswhere. They need Alex Gibbs back, he was a mean old fart, but he knew how to motivate. Don't missunderstand this, I am a big bronco fan. The team has moved away from what they do best. A average defensive team with this offense, when they are not brushing away their own ego, is better than the rest. Brandon, it's time to step up or shut up!. Your not going after the ball anymore. Your waiting for it.. even an average person can see this. Why can't you!

That's a decent analysis. Really, I think that the Broncos are just one real pass-rushing threat and one run-stopping safety from having a good defense. Of course, I don't understand the scheme, but what do I know? They have money to spend this offseason (right now, the Broncos are 27th in payroll), and Julius Peppers will be available. It could happen. There's a lot to be excited for in Denver in the coming years. This team reminds me a lot of the 1995 team that went 8-8.

I agree a lil bit with getting real pass rushing threat and a safety but they need a whole new line and rejuvenate the seccondaryThey can't stop the run and they can't put any pressure on the quarterback. Average Quarterbacks have looked like all pros against this defense and their completion pct against Denver is ridiciouls. Although I know a few people in here think champ is washed up, I'm more upset at the play of Bly. When Champ is healthy, I still think he's the best all around corner in the league. Bly has been a real disappointment. Like I mentioned in my other comment, Bowlen needs to Step up get a REAL Defensive coordinator and build the defense from scratch. I only wish the two people who really need to see these comments (MR. BOWLEN, MR. SHANAHAN) and read them were in this blog.

It's not only the defensive coordinator people. The problem is and has been this, we sorely lack the talent on defense especially in the front seven and we have gotten hammered this year when teams ran the ball well against us. If we are going to hire a new coordinator, we also need to draft defensive talent to be incorporated into the scheme. Let's face it, our D Line absolutely sucks, our linebacking corps could use some work in the improvement department. Plus, we need secondary help in order to help cover Champ and Dre' Bly when teams go deep. Offensively, we have a real good foudnation but we need better production from the running attack, we need to have a back that can carry the ball 20-25 times a game consistently. Also we need depth on the offensive Line with the Center and Guard positions. Lack of a consistent running game and lack of defense all around have been a struggle for us. Until we fix the holes, Denver will be a mediocre football team. And as a Broncos fan, it hurts to say it but it is the truth.

And you are right, I should have mentioned that the D has sucked for the last decade and counting. There is no chemistry or continuity whatsoever.

This is what I see happening now. Now that the Shanman is gone, look for Bly,the Chump and his brokeass brother,and the genius defensive coach to go bye bye!!! Shanahan has made to many bad calls concerning personnel. An example is for starters, Liam, Atwater, Portis, Leach,
Pryce, and more.

Those three games were the Panthers, Bills (defeated the whole AFC West) and the Chargers. I think this team, these group of players just have to learn to win. Whoever steps in will be in a good position with the offense.

Defensively speaking, according to the conference, there will be a complete overhaul in philosophy so only time will tell.
