NCAAB  > General NCAAB  > Duke vs UNC
February 9, 2011, 07:48 AM
The day is finally here! This game is setting up to be a classic. UNC is playing great ball and Duke seems to have found a lineup that works. The key for Duke's success will be taking away passing lanes. UNC has a Jason Kidd type PG who is on fire right now.

I just want Mason Plumlee to be productive down low, UNC has the edge on post play with Henson and Zeller. But a good night by the Plumlee brothers will slow them down enough as long as the shots are falling. Hopefully they all come to play and we get an enjoyable rivalry game to watch.

GO DUKE!

I know I've said this befoe but can any dook fans out there tell me how Coach Kruzawoooski has looked exactly the same for the last 25 years? He's gotta be a robot!

Anybody that says "dook" gets no respect from me. It is a trollish nickname.

Didn't want your half-a**ed respect anyway. I guess I hurt your fragile feelings, need a tissue?

I find that when people open a thread that has nothing to do with their team, there is no reason for trash talking at all. Or at least not before giving a relevant opinion on the topic. This is about Duke vs UNC. Not about "dook" vs UNC and not about how coach K looks not much diffrent now than he did 15 years ago.You know this JRM, you gave a relevant response to the topic.

You need to chill out! And if you REALLY are a dook fan, which I doubt, you would know that at Carolina that's how they spell duke's name. Or at least that's what I found out when I visited UNC back in Dec. of '04.

My feelings don't get hurt over crap like this. I had enjoyed talking to you about college ball up till this. Dook is what trolls say to instigate Duke fans, so that's why I took it personal. I've been nothing but classy when talking about Ohio State with you.

You really are awfully touchy, it's supposed to be a joke! And how dare ANYONE say something negative about that school or their coach, huh? Lighten up, this site is meant to have some fun. It doesn't always have to be overly serious. Any time I'm being a smart a** like this and leave silly comments I'm just having fun. Truth be told I really have nothing against Coach K. How could any true sports fan? He runs his program the right way and I respect that. And it's because of the old Bud Light commericals from the early/mid 90's I refer to him as Coach Kruzawoooski. Those commercials were funny as h*ll. If you have never seen them check them out, there classics!

**THEY'RE CLASSICS** not there.

I don't mean to seem touchy. I have left many of sites where you cant get any kind of conversations going because of idiots who cant be civil. Its not the biggest deal in the world when people say dook. But I just don't like it when you try to have a logical conversation about a game and the only response is something stupid like "dook sucks". If ya had said something meaningful about the game, I wouldn't have cared about the dook crap. But you acted like most of the UNC fans do on other boards.

Fair enough. Although you will sooner or later run into some TRUE BLUE Duke haters and they won't be as understanding as I am. Again just having some fun, didn't mean to ruffle your feathers like that, so to speak...my bad!

Nope, not a country fella. Originally from Akron. Although I did live in E. Cleveland for about a year back in the early 90's.

Hellova game last night, huh? The Dukies sure took care of business in the second half. And that was the first I've seen of Curry, great shooter! Now all they have to do is take care of business and they should get one of those 4 # 1 seeds come Tourney Time. Good luck the rest of the year!

That was the 3rd or 4th game this year that Curry has played really well. I just wish he would be more consistent is all. But even if we don't see him again this year, he played his heart out in the most important regular season game of the year. I think he should be getting a solid 25 minutes a game and he will gain some consistency. As far as the 1 seed. I think they can only lose one more game, win the reg season and the tournament title in order to get a one seed. That's a hard task.

You might be right about how many more games Duke can afford to loose and still get a # 1 seed. The ACC is down compared to previous years and I'm not sure if the selection committee will hold that against them. Although they shouldn't, after all the Blue Devils are defending champs and have taken many a teams best shots. You know, teams always get a little more pumped up when the defending champs visit.

Hey Sweets, how are things today? I still remember that d*mn photo in SI back in '91 with those current Runin' Rebels in that hotub drinkin' a Bud with that crooked fixer. That Final Four set back was a tough one to watch for me. And of course...

UNLV!! GO/FIGHT/WIN!!
