I was expecting a tough and difficult fight for Donaire against Montiel. I was also expecting the fight to go at least 9 or 10 rounds. Montiel is tough and a proven champion. He has a great record and beats opponents with his all around attack. Donaire on the other hand is also a great fighter. He doesn't have as many fights as Montiel, but he is big and fast with lots of power.
If you didn't see the fight between these two then you just have to see it. Donaire hit Montiel with a left hook that didn't look like it hit Montiel that solidly but its effect was devastating. I know Montiel didn't expect it and neither did everyone else watching at ringside and on TV.

I too was surprised it ended so quickly but Donaire has real power and has displayed it before. Donaire has the making of the next star and has the promoter to get him there.
