The Knicks improved but I still do not see them better than Boston, Miami and Chicago.
They are close if not slightly better than Orlando and Atlanta though....but that is an if.
Melo is not a defender, so this team is going to be Phoenix 2.0
To me, the winner is Denver....Melo had no intent of staying and for Denver to get Felton, Gallinari, the Russian center and a 1st Rounder was solid.

I agree with everything you said...but he is young so they could still build a team around him...

I think both teams win.
Denver for the reason you just noted (at least they don't lose him for nothing like Cavs did to LBJ) and for NY this goes right along their revival path.
He is young, and they got the deep pockets to bring more talent and become once again exciting.
Don't forget that NY filling MSG once again is already a great victory for the NBA.

i think this move makes them a top 4 team in the east after melo and chauncy get use to playing in the dantoni team. i think getting chauncy was a underrated move

New York was already the 2nd highest scoring team in the league as they were...
