come on Jim, this was most definitely NOT Dana's doing.

UFC already existed so it was not his invention. His only real part was convincing his friends to buy UFC.

And TUF is what saved UFC, which by the way, he was against it.

That and the demise of Pride which he had nothing to do with!

He was more a lucky guy who got a great break and was in the right place with the right friends at the right time.

Now, as for his efforts, i agree with you. he did and does a lot for MMA.
But with his ego and his mouth and his tactics he many times harm MMA as a sport.

I just wish he could be the nice person he is with the fans also on the sport side. because I know he is really a great ambassador if he would only want to.
