Probably run Strikeforce separately like they did WEC.
I hope so, but that only lasted so long before they wanted all the fights on UFC cards. And you know that anytime one of the Strikeforce guys fights a UFC one in a matchup we want to see, itll be on a UFC PPV.
Dana said that Strikeforce will run as business as usual. Coker will stay in the drivers seat, and Zuffa will just draw checks. For now at least.
It won't be long until Dana will merge the two, the same way that he did with the WEC, I wouldn't bet on it taking as long.

Absolutely. That makes the most sense and that's the standard approach to an acquisition in most industries.
Hopefully this news will slow that **** snakerattle down from littering the site with his useless spam. snakerattle is a moron who thinks everything the UFC is automatically wrong, but he thinks all the rinky dink operations are beyond reproash.
wow. I a speechless.... and weary of the news.
I don't think they really can merge the 2 companies since most fighters in SF does not have exclusive contracts (a must for UFC).
But on the flip side, it now opens up talks to have UFC fighters fighting against SF fighters, since now they are all UFC's.
I like the possibilities, but don't like a very dark possibility that it's UFC trying to buy out any competition. While it might be great, I am weary because I don't think UFC can hold that many fighters, and i would hate for the ones that get cut not to have any real options
QUOTE(#9):
I saw this after my daughters party, and could not believe it. More shocking to me, losing a MMA better than soccer TD, or UFC buying SF? Tough choice.
LOL

Actually its losing the td because of how ridiulous his arguments are, especially the second
Hopefully this spells the end for Frank Shamrock and that chirpy twit, Mauro Ranallo.

Just got my SF tickets, Roni. Are you flying in or what? You'll get to see what SF looks like with competent ownersship behind them -lol.
Or I am going to have to offer the other ticket to DJ?
Seriously 6th row. Not too shabby. Mousasi and Aoki are on the card now, too.
I really wish the UFC would match up some of the fighters from SF against some guys in the UFC... From what dana has said though they will not do that, that they don't copromote... How is it copromote when you own both?????

Um, as long as the UFC employs Mike Goldberg, they really can't throw stones at the current Strikefoce announcers. Goldberg is EVERY bit at bad as Mauro in terms of overhype, and in truth, while Mauro has changed since his Pride days, he still knows about 1000 percent more about the sport than Goldberg...
