NCAAF  > General NCAAF  > Arky admitting they could not have beaten tOSU...

I am so tired of hearing about the Tattoo 5 and how they should NOT have been able to play in the Sugar Bowl. Sounds to me like Arkansas is admitting that they couldn't beat tOSU after all. True, all five played a significant role in winning that game, but don't you want to play against each other's best players? Arkansas beating tOSU without those 5 players would have not been a true test of the teams. And let's face it, getting discounted tattoos DID NOT give tOSU a "Competitive Advantage" over anyone else. It didn't make them super players and it didn't make them more competitive than what they already were.

The Tattoo 5 should have given their memorabilia to their moms and had them sell it in yard sales at their houses, THEN the moms should have paid for the tattoos. Everything would have been legal then, right? Ridiculous. The players owned this stuff. If they wanted to sell it, who cares? This is not like Reggie Bush and $cam Newton getting six figures to play. You really believe $cam Newton didn't know what his father was saying on the phone? Yeah right.

As for Tressel, he was wrong. He should have immediately forwarded the emails to the Athletic Director and let him take it from there. I think at a minimum he should sit out the entire season next year and be fined $1M.

As I said 100 times before, OSU would have won without the O5U!

The players should not have played all season. Tressel knew they were ineligible and played them anyway. No matter how much you trivialize and rationalize the situation, those are the facts.

And the cycle continues:

- The season ends and everyone becomes bored
- Something happens at Ohio State
- Haters come out of the woodwork to gloat
- Regulars endure in relative silence
- Well-meaning new(er) Buckeye fans throw gasoline on the fire
- Haters amp it up to eleven
- Regulars endure in relative silence
- Football season starts
- Ohio State plays well, despite all the venom
- Haters shut up and/or spew sour grapes
- Regulars secretly (or not-so secretly) gloat
- The football season ends...

... et cetera, et cetera, and so forth...

Another historical perspective:

- Something happens at a major school not in Ohio
- Numerous Buckeye fans come out of the woodwork to condemn, spout piously, and even hate on the afflicted program
- Karma strikes and something happens at Ohio State
- The afflicted fans take their revenge, Buckeye fans don't like it
- Some get defensive, make alibis and cry "hate"
- Others change the subject or silently wait for better days
- Then, something happens at a major school not in Ohio

... and the cycle continues...

A sixth perspective: Tnerb actually meant "his oracle", the preist with the best uchre wrist, he dealt the cards from the bottom of the deck.

Not sure whether the typo was meant to be historical or hysterical.

Yet another historical perspective:

Mean old Jim Delaney wasn't very nice and some of the little children got their feelings hurt. Now every time Jim's children do something, the other children whine and cry and kick and scream and point fingers and call names and throw tantrums.

"He's a big fat liar" said one of the children. "He is not!" cried another. "You're just stupid," said little Jimmy, "because you go to a stupid school. Stupid stupid stupid" "Shut up or I'm telling my mommy" screamed little Nicky. "Liar liar pants on fire" cried Bobby. Finally the big clumsy kid who repeated kindergarten 3 times shouts "you're just jealous because my daddy always beats up your daddy ... every year."

... and the cycle continues ...
