NFL  > New York Jets  > Jets looking Forward to next season

Diehard Jets fans of the world unite!!! Sorry, had to say that. What are the odds that the Jets beat the Dolphins after losing 3 of 4 games? Follow that up with the odds of the Ravens losing to the Jags, and/or the Pats losing to the Bills? The Bills may play well, but the odds require getting 2 out of 3 (1 being a Jets win). Thats not good odds of us making the playoffs.

That brings me to next season. I don't think Favre needs to come back next year. The man takes up around 10-12 million in cap room alone. They are a better running team than passing team, and Clemmons or Ratliff could throw 20/20 TD to INT. You don't really need Favre for that. Rely on a strong running game, and more wins will follow.

The last thing I want to address is Kris Jenkins. This team has been awesome when he plays, and not so awesome when he wears down. The team is only as good as the nose tackle. Next years draft we need to address that by selecting Terrence Cody in the 1st round if he's available and declares for the draft. This DT is 6'5 and 380 pounds. He is the reason Alabama is ranked so highly right now.

If the Jets can get this guy (even if it requires trading up), the level of play will never go down when Jenkins is not playing. Cody could be groomed behind Jenkins and even play on 3rd and short plays when it's beneficial to have 2 350+ pound guys on the front line.

That's all I got. I hope we beat the Fins on Sunday, but if we don't I gotta give it up to my favorite NY QB Chad Pennington. Let's get Cody from Alabama. Go Jets!!!!

damn staright i as well think that our running game is good but the only thing i disagree is that favre doesnt bring anything to the team. He has seen tons of defense formations and blitzes so its hard to fool him i dont know if clemens or ratlif can handle that. GO JETS!!!!!

what a foolish statement. teams are getting smart about jenkins....yes hes is a force but they are running to the outside with ease. piouha is doing fine in there ...the problem isnt him getting tried its teams game planning to run away from jenkins

Hey, we made many mistakes. The key is, are the Jets going to learn from them and do what is nevcssary to win next season? This Jets fan is already done with this season after last week's shyte show. I will root for the Dolphins at this point. Anyone but the Pats.

How many years has Favre hinted about retiring. Lets just do it and retire for good. Thanks JETS for picking him up so the Dolphins could get Pennington, He's really helped us out this year.PROPS to you all.
