I think you make some great points here. He is definitely done the best job of making the jump from F1 cars to NASCAR. I think its premature though to think that he is that much more than a "good journeyman driver". Two wins in about 4 years? Not exactly setting the world on fire but still respectable. The knock on Juan Pablo may be his attitude. He blames everyone except himself when on the radio during races. He's struggling I believe with the reality that while a "force" on the F1 cirucuit, he just one of the guys in NASCAR. He runs up front here and there but I believe the media would be more engaging to him if he acted more approachable.

There could be some issues with the cultural differences as well...I see this all the time at work. Just a thought.

"good journeyman driver". good quote but you made my point ..go look at the wins of the fallowing drivers;
Truex Jr.
Mannard
AJ Alm.
Ruttiman
Bowyer
and on and on you look rhen up..
Are those "good journeyman driver"
I believe "standings" are the measure of a competitors worth, so this year a it was in 2009 Juan Pablo is one of the top ten drivers in NASCAR, that is what the stats say , now you can tell me Martin, Biffle etc. etc won a 1000 races but in 2011 they are a top 20 driver, no different than Tiger Woods being the best golfer ever , true , but the last two years he sucked canal water......one think for sure Juan will race in NASCAR as long as he wants to, world class drivers always have choices, "good journeyman drivers" DON"T...lol...lol can we agree on that...you made my point verry well most nascar fan and media siminish Juans ability eventhough the stats say different..just saying.....

JPM should just consider himself lucky Harvick didn't throw a punch.
Juan Pablo is very close to winning a race on an oval. Once that's done, the bashers will go away. He has had a number of races where the crew messed him up and he has also lost some by his own stubbornness but I think he is a good driver. He will win on an oval track before this season ends.
