So.com is reporting that Dan Henderson and Fedor might fight at a catchweight of 215-220 lbs in July. Neither has signed an agreement for the fight yet but I really like the matchup and would love to see it. What do you guys think- like the matchup? What's the outcome?

I think fedor wins...
and finally he goes down to a weight class where people don't outweight 40 pounds!!! :)

A very good fight.

Clinch should be great, Fedor exploding and Hendo with his greco skill and "old man" strength. Neither is a technical striker, both have been so successful with great timing and huge, wild right hands.

Hendo KO's Fedor.

April 10, 2011  11:56 PM ET

Itll stay standing most of the fight and someone gets ktfo

April 11, 2011  10:27 AM ET

Let me just say that while I think it will be a good fight, I do think that Fedor will win.

Fedor has faster hands and has shown the ability to effectively block and counter the kind of single punches that Hendo throws. Dan's timing is great though, and he may be able to get Fedor off balance and land the "Dangerous" right hand though.

People always talk about Nog's chin, but Hendo has a better chin IMO.

Fedor will have to submit Hedno to finish him. Hendo lands a big right and ends the fight early.

It's not meant as a knock to Fedor, but Hendo has aged better than Fedor, and Hendo has never been finished with strikes.

Fedor won't be able to finish Hendo, but a big right hand from Hendo can end anybody's night.

Hell, I'm biased too, Hendo is my third favorite fighter of all time behind Shogun and Cro Cop.

I don't know. At this point in time, it's hard to predict.

Let's not forget the beating Fedor took from Pezao and he wasn't KO'd. He took many hard punches and remained standing.

And if anything, he took probably harder punches as Hendo, since he is a HW while Hendo fought lighter guys.

it will be intriguing though. And anyone who wins will be marking a good spot in history...

well... just so people don't give me grief over it...
I know he wasn't "standing" :)
I meant he wasn't KO'd even when mounted & GnP'ded by Silva, a GnP specialist!

I like Hendo's chances mainly cause we don't know how Fedor will be affected by the weight loss

You mean the beating he took where the ref saved his life? Not sure what you mean by he took those punches, if it wasn???t for the ref he would have been Ko.

Hendo and Fedor have already cemented their legacy, by fighting each other its not going to further their careers. They are both past their prime and cannot compete with the new breed of MMA fighters. This fight is just for the fans, its the MMA version of Jones vs Hopkins 2010.

are you seriously going to chase me to try and open a debate with your fantasy?
Please, enlighten me: when did the ref save fedor?
if anything, it was the doctor who stopped the fight.
And the ref had nothing to do with the outcome nor it stood Pezao when pezao had mount.
So please explain: How did the ref saved Fedor?

And what does this has any bearing into what I said?

And how exactly are they both past theoir primes if, right now, Hendo is the champ?

Please GTFO of these boards. You are biased, and it is impossible to talk sense to you since you are too dumb to know you are wrong, and too ignorant to read and learn anything new.

Okay, your right it was the doctor who saved his life, regardless someone saved his life from that horrible bashing he was taking. Why are you denying that he wasnt getting his face smashed? Did you not watch the fight? Come on now if it was any other fighter that you dont like you would be saying the same thing I am saying.

I love Hendo but Hendo got handled by Jake and hasnt fought anybody in SF like he did in the ufc. The LHW in SF is weak, that???s not being bias those are facts.

April 12, 2011  07:17 PM ET

Hendo doesn't want a catchweight from what I'm hearing. He wants the fight at HW.

What? I like a lot of what you write but on this I cannot concur.

Saved his life? Did you not watch the fight? Are we forgetting that the round ended with Fedor having escaped and wrenching ferociously on a straight Achilles lock?

I'm not saying that necessarily that he would have stuffed Pezao's takedowns in the third and that the result would have been different, but you paint a picture that conjures up images of Fedor lying helplessly on his back with Silva landing thousands of unanswered punches from mount from bell to bell, and then the doctor saying that he would die in ten more seconds of combat.

Forget it C.
That is besides the point that I was just merely noting he wasn't KO'd by Silva's punches.

he is just trying to bring a **** point and getting away from the subject (as usual). And with wrong facts... also as usual.

I had enough of this.
Since Hyped left, Jim now out too, I think I am also done here.

I am tired of trying to keep this board moving and having only an uneducated fool who distort facts and takes things out of context only to have an e-**** context.
