Now that we know who's playing who, figured it's time to start making picks...

EAST
1. Washington
8. New York Rangers
-Washington in 5, Rangers are beat up and Washington's coming in hot.

2. Philadelphia
7. Buffalo
-Philly in 6, Philly's not playing great but are just more talented than the Sabres.

3. Boston
6. Montreal
-Stoked to see this series, Boston in 6. Boston's good enough to sweep or win in 5, but I feel the rivalry stretches this out.

4. Pittsburgh
5. Tampa Bay
-Tampa in 7. Just feel good about them.
WEST
1. Vancouver
8. Chicago
-Vancouver in 6. They exorcise the demons and beat Chi-town.

2. San Jose
7. Los Angeles
-San Jose in 5, LA's limping in.

3. Detroit
6. Phoenix
-Detroit in 7. Love Detroit but I think Phoenix will give them all they can handle.

4. Anaheim
5. Nashville
-Nashville in 7, should be a great series.

2nd Round
EAST
1. Washington
5. Tampa Bay
-Washington in 6.

2. Philadelphia
3. Boston
-Boston in 7. Boston gets payback for last year.

WEST
1. Vancouver
5. Nashville
-Vancouver in 5.

2. San Jose
3. Detroit
-San Jose in 6. Love my Wings but the Sharks are just better, wouldn't mind being wrong here though.

3rd Round
EAST
1. Washington
3. Boston
-Boston in 6, Tim Thomas leads them past the Caps.

WEST
1. Vancouver
2. San Jose
-Vancouver in 6, I feel that the Canucks are a more complete team than the Sharks.

FINALS
1. Vancouver
3. Boston
-Vancouver in 5. Best team in the league, very complete team also. Cup returns to Canada for the first time in a long time. (What is it, 20 years now?)

Congrats to the Blackhawks for backing in.

I was thinking, wouldn't it be great to see a Rangers-Blackhawks final? Both teams made it in because of another teams inability to win their last game...

Sharks in the conference finals. Are you high? They should beat the Kings 4 straight instead they get shutout at home. Nice job. Go play golf.

Well, where are your picks? They're not going to win every single game, and they're not going to win every game at home...I still believe the Sharks can get to the conference finals (they did it last year without as good a team)...Detroit could have something to say about it though, they've shown me more than I had expected.

I think Wings v Flyers will be in the final. i just dont think Vancover will hold it together they seem undisciplined and i think philly is to deep to not make it back assuming they get pronger back and dont get goaltending like they did in the finals last year. Detriot has the talent and the experience to go long but i am gonna take philly in the cup in 6. Cups coming back to broad street finally

Sounds pretty good except I think the Sharks win it all this year (because nobody is expecting anything from them). All the pressure is on Vancouver - meaning they will get the conference final but that's it. In the east, Washington is motivated and so is Philly. Boston doesn't really impress me.

Let's Go Pens!!

8 for 8 so far!

impressive, especially the nashville pick, that was a surprise for most.

I don't see Vancouver/Boston in the finals though. My picks at the start were Boston or Philly for the cup but both teams looked very shaky last series. Although Boston won, they were outplayed for most of the series. In the end, it could have gone either way. And Philly just doesn't have the goaltending.

Vancouver has been to hell and back and they play again TONIGHT without a break. Unless they make short work of Nashville (unlikely) they won't have enough left. Consider no team that went to 7 games in the first round has ever won the cup.

I see the winner of the Sharks/Wings series against the winner of the Caps/Bolts play for the Cup.

Great picks my friend. Even in hindsight, I can't believe that Nashville beat Anaheim.

Nice Job.

Too bad you didn't pick The Pens, might have changed their fortunes to match yours.

I'd have to agree, Boston looked decent the other night against Philly (who won't get out of round 2 with those goalies) and the Wings are down 2-0 now...we'll see! I honestly just had a good feeling about Nashville and went with it!

I'm sorry, I just didn't feel they were gonna get it done, but they nearly did!

With the remaining teams I'm picking Lighting vs. Sharks, Sharks win.

I was stoked, nice to see them get their first series win! Even though I'm a Wings fan I have to applaud that!

Not picking against The Bolts after what they did against The Pens, and what they're doing to The Caps.

Detroit/Tampa Bay
Sharks doing their annual meltdown. Detroit becomes 5th team to come back from down 3-0 because Guppies stopped playing.

That's the 1 I'm looking for.
