NHL  > General NHL  > Sports Illustrated's coverage of hockey is an absolute joke

The NHL playoffs are smack in the middle of the most compelling drama in sports, and this week's SI contains exactly one story on the Capitals' new commitment to defense. Quarterbacks being drafted into a league that's not even going to play next year dominates the issue while they're mum on some of the best action we've seen in recent years in the NHL. I guess they pander to where the most fans are, but as a sports magazine, SI is an absolute joke. I'm glad my subscription is free thanks to my recycling program. I would never pay for this tripe.

Try The Hockey News. SI is all about football, basketball, and swimsuit models. If you want hockey, go right to the source.

Oh yeah. I use real hockey news sources for sure. Just couldn't resist attacking SI, given how wild the playoffs have been so far. Thanks, man.

I used to care about issues like that before, now I just leave all-in-one magazines like SI on the shelf. Don't even really notice them unless a swimsuit issue is out. :)
