Joe Perry passed away 4/25/11 he was 84. Perry played 16 years in the NFL and was one of the members of what was known as "The Million Dollar Backfield" which also included Hugh McElhenny, John Henry Johnson, Y.A. Tittle, the only full house backfield to have all members enshrined in the NFL Hall of Fame. Perry still holds the 49ers records for most rushing yardage ( 7,344 ), and most rushing TD's ( 50 ). Perry held the NFL all time rushing record of ( 9,723 ) yards, the record was later broken by Jim Brown.
