NFL  > Cleveland Browns  > Phil Savage fired as Browns GM
December 28, 2008, 07:54 PM
One of the local stations reported that Savage was fired and now i see it on the front page of the website. Romeo Crennel is almost certain to be fired tomorrow.

Now what direction do the Browns go for their next GM? After all he is likely to pick the next head coach (unlike 4 years ago). The local media seems to love Scott Pioli in New England's front office, with the added bonus of him being Indians GM Mark Shapiro's brother-in-law if i am not mistaken. Honestly I would be surprised to see him come to Cleveland. Anyways it looks like the Browns are headed to yet another rebuilding effort.
