This draft has potential. All of their early picks could pan out and be what the coaches hope for, or.................maybe we just got a big handful of problem children. Taking a chance on this many bad seeds, at the same time, may not have been the best move. That potential I spoke of, could go either way!
Other than that, I think it was a spectacular draft.

1. Very happy about the trade compensation from the Falcons.
2. Glad we stayed away from the QBs in this draft.
3. Head-scratcher at first when we nabbed a FB in the 4th...but he did play in a WC offense and seems to have that nastiness about him to get down and dirty in the AFCN...feel bad for Vickers, though.
4. Heard more positives and upsides than negatives about the problem children we drafted...gonna trust the upper ups on that one...the potential/talent is there with Taylor, Sheard, and Little.
4. Still love that we have Atlanta's number one and number four picks already in the bank for next year...Their strength of schedule is ranked 20th, but they have to face the NFCN, where even the Lions are going to be a very tough matchup...and only 3-4 games against teams with a sub-.500 record...
5. TE Jordan Cameron seems to be getting some backlash from Browns fans, but again the potential/athleticism makes him a pretty solid value pick in the fourth round...plus he will have time to develop since Cleveland has two TEs in Moore and Watson.
6. Skrine could be a diamond in the rough...he has the speed and athletic ability, just going to need to develop the skills and desire to be a starter in this league.
7.Something tells me that Cleveland might have to dig in to the FA market to find some linemen after only taking one in the draft (Pinkston). Also going to need a D-lineman and some depth at LB.

I thought they did really well. They got a ton in the trade with Atlanta that could only accelerate their rebuild. Sheard is a really solid player. And they needed a guy like Little.

Good call, I was surprised that they totally ignored the LB position throughout the draft. I would have loved to have drafted Casey Matthews, he didn't go until 19th in the 4th round.

Sentimentally, it would have been nice to have another Matthews in a Browns uniform; not a lot of LB's on the free agent market either. Not sure where the Browns are going to get some reinforcements. Jackson has not played a full season in two years; Gocong is still a work in progress; Fujita should be fine; everyone else is a huge question mark, especially since most of them are currently free agents, too.

I just hope that they have matured and are ready to make the necessary commitment needed to play in the NFL. Sheard became a defensive captain at Pitt, which is promising. Little had the first round talent, and hopefully plays with that chip on his shoulder. Fingers crossed.

The Browns are going to make some noise this year and the hiring of Mike Holmgren was a big part of it. That trade with Atlanta was pure genius. The Browns are back.

I loved their trade with Atlanta. This draft class was weaker than years past overall, due to the labor situation, so getting future picks had an added premium to it. If they do well in free agency this year and next and make good choices in next year's draft, the Browns could see a nice turnaround, led by the monster Peyton Hillis, of course.
One thing the Browns need to get during Free Agency, or maybe in a trade, is a wide receiver, though. Preferably one that has some speed to go along with his hands. My thoughts on that, in no apparent order:
- They COULD try to make a play for Vincent Jackson, but the Chargers might charge too much to bring him in.
- I think the Panthers' Steve Smith is too old to give up too much for in a trade.
- I think that Edwards and Holmes are going to stay in New York.
- Say no to T.O., Ocho, and Randy Moss, along with the other divas.
I think that the Browns should get a solid receiver - maybe Steve Breaston, Mike Sims-Walker, or James Jones - if they can in Free Agency, and use one of their first-round picks next year on a receiver, if they're in good position to grab one that could be their starter for years.

(Forgot to say, I think Greg Little won't play that well, and be a part of the already average-to-mediocre Browns WR set outside of Cribbs)
