Edwards did a great job with our defense. His linebackers were very aggressive for Washington, each accounting for over 100 tackles each that year. You'd be lucky to get him away from Miami. He got criticized here because the team lost a couple of games late in the season in which the defense gave up late game touchdowns to blow leads. Not necessarily his fault. He was our fifth defensive coordinator in five years. Doesn't say much for the organization really. That kind of turnover is just insane. He was smart to get out of Washington and away from Dan Snyder, our kook of an owner.
Edwards has a proven track record of producing a good pass rush and has plenty of experience in college as well as professional. You guys will be lucky to get him. Parcells kept him around when everyone else was getting the ax in Miami, so that says something.
