NBA  > General NBA  > Another legendary team bites the dust...almost...
May 6, 2011, 09:05 AM
The San Antonio Spurs finished their playoff season looking like an old punch drunk team and from watching the last two Lakers games Kobe looks like a player ??? with diminishing skills??? in other words it appears the load has become too heavy to bear.
At one time a young Kobe could single handed carry a team to victory, now It seems he needs to play as part of a ???team???
Have all those years playing by himself left him with no clue on how to just to be part of a team ?
Can you imagine Kobe playing as a shooting guard for Memphis, not the man of the team, but just part of that team, they would probably a top five team in the NBA year in and out.
Do you agree?
Today I heard a few folks on ESPN say the Lakers would still win the series, well, they most be Kobe???s fans or buddies in denial.
For those of you who still believe the Lakers will pull it off, I just want to tell you , get help and get over it .
Is over my dear friends.
Enough said.

It is over when it is over. I think the Lakers will win tonight. The absence of Ron Ron may actually be a benefit. If they tie the series at 2, look for some carotid tightening on the part of Dallas.

Did you say the same thing when Dallas went up 2-0 in the Heat? Last time I checked, it was 2-0, not 4-0.

I agree, Phil Jackson can remember his last series butt kicking well into retirement.

I will try to respond to you with more class than the Lakers exhibited on court. You, as it turned out were right, although you didn't go out on too much of a limb when Dallas was up two games to none with home court to follow. That said, it is never over until the final buzzer. Nobody, not I nor you nor the pundits saw this coming. The better team won today; the scoreboard never lies. I think Phil Jackson deserved a better show from his team.

I agree with you 100% the coach deserve better, you know someday an ex-player will write a book about this Laker season and I bet the wife and my dog (well maybe just the wife..lol) that one of the chapters will about how most team mates hate playing with kobe......you notice how he tries to be a coach in the floor and also from the bench...he is actualy is telling players where to play from the sideline...amazing...

Don't let Kobe define the whole team....I don't think his teammates like him...
