NFL  > Minnesota Vikings  > Minnesota Equals different QB's

Tarvaris Jackson played okay against Arizona but then slumped. Gus Fuerrote played decent but mostly rely on A.P. Now I know there 3rd string quarterback is a rookie. Which is John David Booty who played well at USC. If Gus and Jackson can play only decent. Why can't Booty try to go in there and try his stuff. Because he was a 5th or 6th Round pick. But Booty can have the same success. Such as either Tom Brady or Tony Romo. Not trying to compare them. But why not give him a shot.

are you serious. the reason he's not playin is because he simply isn't better than jackson. and because are season is too far on the line to throw in a rookie who hasn't even played a single game. And you cant possibly tell everyone that Tarvaris Jackson played okay against Arizona when he threw 4 touchdowns and no interceptions with a 135 passer rating. and the game before that he saved us from losing to the defeated lions with a 143 passer rating. and in the next to games he threw 3 touchdowns and 1 pick. in addition to him scrambling for 75 yards in those 4 games. I'll give you what you said about frerotte but he's not even starting anymore so who cares. What i'm basically trying to say is Jackson isn't playing decent, he's been playing above average in his pass few games and he's our best bet to take us where we need to go.

I agree Tavarius is the only choice right now but he's not NFL playoff grade. He has happy feet and the game moves to quickly for him. The Vikes should incorporate a rolling pocket for him. He does have talent when he can run or throw.

Bottom line. Vikes are most miscoached team in the league. Childress has to get a clue or go. The 2 min. offense at the end of the Giant game was pathetic. The special teams are a mess. A.P needs pitch outs so he can get to the corners faster. He can't be arm tackled and no corners are gonna take him dowm 1:1. Taking the ball under center and running it back to himfor a handoff takes 1/2 second too long.

Try Booty next year. He's worth a shot.

So, what has changed since 12/31/07?

Who has better stats -- Culpepper or TJ? Do stats matter?

Get real! Childress/TJ got to go!

I agree with you . Tavaris is going to be just fine. Look we would't be where were at if it wasn't for the both of them. Tavaris add's another dimension to the game that Ferote doesn't have which of course is the ability to move. Listen when culpepper was there it was Ferote talking to him during the games that kept him calm and WA LA 41 td passes that year. So i hope this is deja vu and perhap's Ferote's knowledge and Tavaris's youth and desire to be good might produce some pretty good dividend's for minnesota in the future. Now as far as Childress goes the play calling and clock management has been atrocious, so many lost opportunities. He of course need's to get his head out of his a** because his miss mmanagement has cost them atleast two games this year. If i was a defensive player i think i'd be giving him some good Benny Hill's which of course is some good slap's on his bald head and a few good kick's in his a**. Quit putting them on the spot at the end of games. Once in a while is ok but almost every game COME ON!!

Totally agree with **** (what a name, LOL) about the Vikes being miscoached. They barely use AP properly, considering his strengths and skill-set and the 2-minute drill during the Giants game was embarrassing for all involved.

That being said, I don't agree with Effica's constant mantra against T-Jack, I think he can cut it and the end of this season seems to support that contention. Let's see how he performs under serious pressure in this upcoming playoff game - a game we really should win, regardless of how "hot" and trendy the Eagles are for the media playoff prognosticators.

I'm with you on that wytefang and as for Effica hopefully the kid makes a believer out of you. This weekend. As for Childress well you read my comments up on 4. Look even Stevie Wonder can see how he has botched alot of stuff this year. Listen I'm happy we got to were we are this year and i would like to go further if possible. So for now i will just go with the moment and worry about getting rid of people after the playoffs. Hell if your a vikes fan Effica it should feel good to be back in the playoff's. I know it does for me.

Well let me say i disagree with all 3 of you, the problem is the offensive coordinator, and the head coach which i have no respect for so i wont even type his name, weak and conversative offensive game plan, which is a joke, the vikings must have 3 things in order to build a dynasty, continue to have the defensive consistency they have now, they are losing leslie frazier so thats the first problem, number 2 fire the offensive coordinator and get a more explosive offensive game plan, get another wide-receiver, that can can stretch the field and catch short passes as well, like the bengals free-agent wide receiver, and lastly get a dang quarterback, tavaris is a little better, but he is a slow learner, not to smart, and i think its a mistake to try to develop him any further, should they pay 30 million for cassel N.E QB Thats risky because he hasn't played enough for me to be sure he is worth the money, the vikings are desperate so they will pay any price to get him, stock pile millions and multiple draft picks not excluding first round. bye sharper, bye matt birk, i hope they keep kleinsasser because he can block. let me know what ya'll think.

I was on another message board after the eagles game and said they needed a new offensive coordinator and special teams coach. The thread your looking at was before the eagles game. And we definetly need another wide reciever to complement Berrian. So yes i agree with you on all points. It would be nice if Cassel was available but i doubt Brady will be healthy enough so that means franchise tag on Cassel for N.E.
