NBA  > General NBA  > CAN WE ALL AGREE THIS FINAL IS OVER..HEAT IN 4...BOOK IT DANO
May 27, 2011, 01:03 PM
Sorry folks, hate to burst your bubble but this championship will end as I thought it would from day one, the Heat champions in four or five games.

Three superstars playing together are unbeatable, the NBA has become a superstar game, the rest of the players are like the Washington Generals ( as in Harlem World Trotters opponent) just fillers, after all you do have to have 5 players in the game...lol...lol
Just saying.

LMAO.... don't think your boys are going to get past dallas, sorry. dallas should get a win in one of the first two games.... maybe even both. the series should go six games though, but dallas wins 4-2 over the "three superstars" as you named them. and watch these chumps lose with as much class as they came together.

Not a Heat fan, so this is not based on "fanhood"..lol...just the facts of what the NBA has become...the Heat is the poster team for that...

No comments...wow

I think your dead on with the idea that this is what the NBA has become. I think contraction needs to just go on and happen. Let's just make the Association a 16 team league and knock the playoffs down to 8 teams so it doesn't drag out for 3 months anyway. You get 16 teams featuring nothing but All-stars and see what happens. No more Sacramento, Indiana, Milwaukee, Toronto, Minnesota, Charlotte, etc...Might sound a bit drastic, but think about the last time you actually watched any other these before mentioned teams play...

You are not far from the truth...good comment...

all-star teams only.... like that idea. as far as the finals, dallas will have their hands full, i know. just hoping the heat doesn't win it i guess. wishful thinking. but if dallas can steal one of the first two, i think they have a good chance. if they come back to dallas 0-2 the series is over.

Word.

Too many teams in the NBA and too many kids coming out after 1 year have drained the college talent pool. They're coming into the league much less developed than 10 years ago and it's a cause-and-effect situation. The NBA's answer to this "problem" is ... The NBA Development League - further draining the available talent pool.

The product on the floor in many cities is not worth the ticket price IMO.

As I said , the NBA is about a team keeping it close and then the stars taking over with 5 minutes left...in case you have not aware of it Miami has 3 stars...Again is over...

Well...you are down 0-1 and now Miami has dominated yet ANOTHER team in the 4th quarter.

At some point (maybe when we are hoisting the Championship Trophy) you guys will realize that Miami is playing the best basketball out there right now!

They have a sick defense that just smothers you in the 4th quarter...they have 2 Super Stars who can take over any game at any time...and they have good outside shooting.

Scary part...Miami is going to improve!

June 1, 2011  09:57 AM ET

well, dallas had a chance and miami outplayed them in the 4th. must win for dallas thurs nite. going home 0-2 will make this a short series. however, 1-1 with the next 3 in dallas brings this series back to life. GO MAVS!!

Miami was #1 on the road this season and have won games in Boston, and 2 in Chicago, 1 being the close out game...

Dallas will be no different.

I do agree, if Dallas wins Game 2, the series changes quite a bit...but, with Miami 9-0 at home and playing lights out defense in the 4th quarters of all their recent games, I have no reason to think that Miami will not be 10-0 at home headed back to Dallas.

I think Miami wins Games 2, 4 and 6 to close it out 4-2.

We shall see...

Dallas never had a chance, they just can not score enough to win against Miami's defense.

June 1, 2011  04:32 PM ET

Unless Dirks teammates show up ... this is over. The heat bench outscored the Dallas bench by 10 pts. That cannot happen. We need some triple doubles from JKidd, some more D and 20 pts from Marion, rebounding and defense from Chandler. Dirk cant take on Miami alone.

Great win, great comeback but if any Mavs fan thinks that this is going to be a cakewalk, they are sorely mistaken.

Miami was tied with this same Mavs team for best in the league on the road..

This Heat team has been roughed up on the road all season long and the next 3 will be no different.

I still think it is going to be a slugfest and Miami will pull through.

Miami ate some humble pie tonight....betcha it does not happen again!

June 3, 2011  10:32 AM ET

one win doesn't make a series and miami is so talented that this is still an uphill battle for dallas. but being at home the next 3 games can help. on paper, this series should be a cakewalk for the heat, but dallas can make a series out of it and going 1-1 in miami is a good start. the heat are an arrogant bunch, but they are so talented it's understandable really. the scary part is that if this group stays together they will only get better and we may be looking at a heat vs. ? finals for many yrs to come.

the HEAT has just been turned up on Wade and Lebron with Little bro Bosh.

The Mavs in 6 as it is alot hotter in Dallas than Miami...... 101 today
