NFL  > General NFL  > Animal rights group purchased Vick's house
May 28, 2011, 02:11 PM
The Associated Press reported that animal rights group called Dogs Deserve Better purchased Vick's house for 600,000.

"I think by us overtaking this property we are winning for the dogs," said the group's founder, Tamira Thayne. "We are, in essence, giving this property back to the dogs that were abused there by using it to help other dogs just like them."

Thayne also added, in typical rights group fashion, that she questions whether Vick is really remorseful about his actions and would like to see him put more effort into making amends

Exactly more does Vick need to do? Does he need to personally buy out the collective community of dogs throughout the entire world who are having a tough go and rehabilitate them himself?

The doggies with their newly purchased home decided the first thing they should do is put up a sign "BEWARE OF HUMAN", with a automaton of Vick on a chained leash which BARKS out audibles when the motion sensor is activated.

What kind of loan did they get? Did they pay cash? It is nice to know that some animal rights group has the money to pay for a home for dogs while so many humans are being foreclosed on and made to sleep in the streets.

Yep,thats sad,and all the grief and hardship in the world also, what i can't understand is some of these 'rich and famous people'adopting children from other countries, when we have alot of orphans here in our country,it just doesn't make sense, and all these people that's gotten flooded out and being killed by tornados etc..we have enough on our own plate too be dealt with before helping out the rest of the world, the old addage'Charity begains at Home'.

I never could understand the adopting of foreign babies over US orphans until Haiti. Then the people were witness to the amount of money churches make in selling babies from foreign countries to US adopters, plus there is less paperwork.
