NBA  > General NBA  > Daniel Gilbert and the Caaliers learnt nothing from the Lebron debacle..........

I know that Cleveland wants to get back at Lebron and get better but they are going about this the wrong way. They are going to be in for a world of hurt. They are going to put the franchise in the red to draft a couple of untested players?? They have put a lot of money into getting those two high picks an they want to spend even more to make it 1 and 2....

One of the main reasons why they were dumped by Lebron is because they could not or would not bring in a quality free agent to support him. A proven scorer that can help carry the club. Getting the number one pick is good as you need to bring in fresh guys but in basketball, the draft is usually a lottery itself because more often than not the high picks do not translate into victories.... to top it off this draft is looking mighty thin too.

They are sinking millions into these into these picks, just like giving a rookie a huge guaranteed contract they are spending millions on unproven talent. bad idea.......

Not a Cavs fan at all, but, the rookies in the NBA have a cap on earnings in their first 3 seasons, so money wise, they will be able to get some young talent on that team.

Overall, they will be better than they were last year and LeBron will get his title.

Cleveland is a crap town with crap sports...in the end, they will be unable to keep anyone for any length of time.
