QUOTE(#3):

I for one am saddened by the way Tressel's career ended. I realize that it was his own poor judgment that caused it, but still.................OK, now for the real issue. How many different names will be on T&R threads as potential replacements? I'm gonna put the over/under at twelve. What are y'all's thoughts? Anyone want to volunteer to keep count? To clarify, this is how many different names, not how many T&R threads on the topic. Jesus, the over/under on that would be about 100,000....... Why does Google's spell check not like y'all's? Damn yankees.

No more than 6. Not many are going to want to walk into that situation. Many players are going to transfer away from there. Pryor is probably ten kinds of pissed off that he didn't go into the draft. OSU will be lucky to get into a bowl next year.

It was the last decent decision of his career. Will coach Fickell be his permanent replacement?

At least for the 2011 to 2012 season...then we will see. The issue I have is that E. Gordon Gee made his comments that the school has a set of standards, come on EGG next thing you will say is the NCAA has standards! Bring on Freddy!

Maybe we can get Maruice Clarrett to coach the running backs!

May 30, 2011  09:38 AM ET

Look he is coach in a big time program and he lied ....he was going to get fired, Ohio State made a deal for the resignation...do you agree?

Maruice Clarrett ...I think we may now get the real story on this kid....look for it...

Is coach Meyer really a possibility,, or Bo Pelini ? I just cant see either one leaving what they have now.

May 30, 2011  09:42 AM ET

Did he resign Bobby Bowden style (I'm still smarting over that one)? Or was it his decision.....that's what I want to know..

Gonna miss him.

Do you really want your running backs getting caught?

"Old solders never die, they just fade away"... Hows that for a memorial day quote.

I agree with JRM...12 sounds right.

It is still a good program and will weather the NCAA sanctions. Right coach and they will come out of this smelling like a rose....unless LK decides to move. LMAO

Now if they can get that Joe Pa Kid to resign the B10 might have a chance against the SEC

Meyers is a real possibility, I will start the ground movement for Fred Pagac!

I am more fired up for the season, the only thing which needs to be done is make the decision on a full-time coach. Lets get the recruiting class going.
