And when was the last time gsp finished some one in a fight?
QUOTE(#2):
Bj penn at ufc 94. Like this fight. Nick will bring the fight to gsp and force him to fight for once. Still like gsp to control diaz to a UD win.
Id be disappointed with another decision, at least Diaz should push him and it could be more exciting than gaps usually grinders. I think I saw a future that had Diaz at+ 250 but I might be misremembering and it might have changed since I saw that. Hopefully this leads to other ufc/strikeforce fights like overeem/cain and melendez/edgar and maynard winner

What should happen is Diaz will press GSP even when Diaz is on his back. He is nt one to sit back. He loves to take chances and he will. If it doesn't happen that way because of GSP and his lay n pray, this will be the last GSP fight I watch Until He fights the Spider
But Yes I'm Excited for the fight. I don't hate GSP but his style is getting to me and makes me not want to buy a PPV that he is headlining. If he pulls off a victory because he brings his old self into the Octagon I will be happier then a pig in slop. But I also love Diaz. So I won't complain to much no matter who wins as long as it's a good fight
Opening Odds:
GSP: -365
Nick: + 285
I might have to put my life savings on GSP at this price. I don't know if it'll get any cheaper.
I'm sure Jake will teach Diaz some effective eye-poke techniques though, but I still wouldn't bet Nick unless it paid 6 or 7 to 1.
QUOTE(#7):
Yup. I see GSP taking him down over and over again for 5 rounds.
I hope GSP doesn't turn this into a wrestling match.

Of course he will. It is the smart thing to do. GSP is a fighter and a smart fighter will always fight to his strengths and not his opponents just because fans want hime to. It wouldn't be very wise for GSP to stand with Diaz.
I think this will be a more interestin match than you think.
GSP gameplans, some times the best strategy is to take down and control. Is that the best plan for Diaz?
Diaz has a VERY tricky guard, the best that GSP will have faced since Serra, who he stood with twice. Diaz is a very well rounded fighter. He has a very tight, technical guard. His standup however, effective as it may be, is loose.
I expect the gameplan for GSP to be try to pick apart him with jabs and in and out punches, then take him down in the last minute or so of every round when he is confident that he can control until the round ends without the threat of submission.
QUOTE(#13):
Best guard since Serra? What about Penn?
I completely forgot about Penn. Good point.
I do think that BJ's size was a factor there though.
Anthony Johnson just pulled out of his fight with Nate The Great at the end of this month.
Rick Story is stepping in.
QUOTE(#18):
Damn. I had Rumble +140. Now, I'm just gonna make more money on Ricky Story.
You think Story will beat Nate?
