How can a team take a top five race car and turn it into junk in one pit stop, my God maybe you can do that in two, but in just one stop, I bet Juan Pablo Montoya is wishing he would just kept on going and hit the wall instead of pitting.

After listening to the radio conversation between Juan Pablo Montoya and his crew all I can say is "CARAMBA" what in the world is going on with this team.

Juan Pablo Montoya asked if they knew what was wrong with the car and the response from what I assume was the crew chief Brian Pattie was that he wishes he knew but he didn't.
Are you kidding me Chip Ganassi, is this the best answer the folks you hired to run the team can come up with- I don't know- is that a real answer, specially when they had half of the race under their belt, isn't that enough time to figure it out.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I assume the crew chief job requires to figure those things out, again, I'm assuming that's the job.

Is it fair to wonder if Chip is all in on his commitment to the NASCAR program, is that a fair question.

I think is fair, look at every race team Chip Ganassi is involved with, they all have one thing in common, they're all champions

Except for their EGR teams.

Juan Pablo Montoya is a good driver, Jamie McMurray is a good driver, they have good engines and good chassis, so where is the problem, could it be with the folks making the -in race -decisions.

I have to take the "in race decisions" as the problem, I'm not an engineer or race expert, just a fan, but I think it would be a good bet that a crew chief shake up would make a huge difference.

Do you agree.

Chip needs to do something now, either a crew swap or maybe someone as an adviser to help with the racing strategy or in race changes.

This is assuming the goal of these teams is to make the chase and win a championship, if the idea is just to be a top twenty team, well then no changes are needed, EGR is right on that path.

Due to the gas strategies the 42 team was able to get to the top ten with about 13 laps to go, but apparently no one told Juan Pablo to save gas, when he finally ran out of fuel he said "you got to tell me if you want me to save fuel" that is not the exact quote but it was clear no one told him to save fuel.

Again, I assume that is a crew chief job, just guessing.

I always try to be fair when expressing my opinion, I know this article may sound harsh to some fans, but some things need to be said and there is nothing in this article that is a lie or malicious.

They are just the facts.

This car was running like a race car with a chance, after the first pit stop it became an ordinary race car.
That is the truth, who is at fault, well I'm sure we all have different opinions on that, I gave you mine..

As always this is just a fans opinion and from what I understand everybody has one and I thank goodness for that.
