Every home team is an underdog
Really think 4 visitors can get out of town with a win this week?

I say the Colts, Falcons and Eagles get out of town and I'm hoping the Ravens fly home with their tails between their legs but I doubt it.

As a football fan I appreciate how the Ravens win games > defense, running game and a qb that doesn't lose games for his team.
As a Steeler fan, I'm hoping the 'Phins win because it'll be tough to beat a team as good as the Ravens 3 times in one season....that's if we get past the Colts/Chargers.
I do think if the Ravens beat the Dolphins they will also beat the Titans which would be good so the Steelers get the Ravens at Heinz Field in the AFC Championship.
Should be a great start to the playoffs!

These are acctually great playoff matchups. The best matchup in my opinion is the Vikings (Brad Childress) vs. the Eagles (Andy Reid). And for all you non-Eagles, non-Vikings fans out there, Brad Childress was the Offensive coordinator for the majority of the Andy Reid era. When he left, the Eagles offense crumbled and the Mcnabb & Reid controversy began.

id have to say watch out for road teams, could be alot of upsets, this wkend, atl 21 to 14 over cards, eagles and vikes game mite be decide 3 either way , maimi wins , and so does the chargers

I said on another message board that these team's match up pretty good. You have two good defense's, lot's of pressure big hitter's, fairly tough to move the ball on. Three great back's in Westbrook ,AP, Chester Taylor.Quarterback -Mcnabb get's the nod, Jackson has played pretty well these last few game's, a few regretable mistake's but overall not to bad. Can he handle the Jim Jonson Blitz package, we'll see cause everyone know's it's coming. So for all you great sport's picking prognosticator's and game picking Einstien's who wrote both team's off three week's ago. HOW YA LIKE US NOW!!! best game of the weekend. Good luck Rayneman87

January 2, 2009  02:51 PM ET

Yeah except that San Diego pulls the upset win over the colts...

Bold prediction
Superbowl
Ravens 38
Panthers 26

January 2, 2009  09:57 PM ET

Baltimore is too much for Miami: The Ravens weakness is the big play and Pennington has no arm strength
The Cardinals will have a big game through the air as they expose the Falcons weak secondary and pull out the win
The Colts are hot and i like them to win but it will be interesting to see if the Chargers 3-4 can neutralize Manning
The Eagles are the league's most inconsistent team but somehow the ended up in the playoffs. Adrian Peterson will have a big game but Jim Johnson's blitz packages will confuse the hell out of Tavaris Jackson, I like the Eagles

The only one you got wrong is the Falcons/Cards. Cards will re-discover their running game with E.James, enabling Warner and co. to hang 34 on the Falcs.

34-17 Cards

January 3, 2009  04:29 AM ET

I still think the Chargers have an edge ovey Indy, just because of the travel involved.
I see Arizona finally getting off their a@@es and play football again.
I see Baltimore being too tough for Miami
Now as foe Philly and The Vikings, both teams are playing hot, but I still think it will come down to the QBs, so I pick Philly

Well I didn't get the score exactly right...

Wow that lose really really hurt. We just had to shoot ourselves in the foot. Every break there was went to the Cardinals!

January 4, 2009  04:02 AM ET

I called it SD won and so did Arizona, now lets see if I am any good on tonights picks.

January 5, 2009  02:58 AM ET

Guess who's never going to be going to Vegas picking football game winners? Wow... 0-4...

Atlanta got straight out played this weekend. There were alot of calls that were bogus on both sides... being a Falcons fan, even though I know he was stopped, that safety call when he got the ball away to Turner for an obvious first down hurt the most.

The "fumble" by Turner never even got in his hands...

We did get away with a few holding calls, and a pass interference...

...but again, the Cards weren't exactly "not guilty" on all charges, either.

No, it was closer, but damn good call. I thought for sure Atlanta was going to walk away with that. Arizona did the one thing I thought they were going to need to do to win - contain John Abraham. That gave Warner all the time in the world to waste our pathetic secondary.

Warner should have NEVER converted that 3rd and 16 in the 4th quarter, but the guy was WIDE open. That was pretty much the straw that broke the Falcons' back. I guess that rich tradition of horrible secondaries will continue in Atlanta.

Congrats to the Cards. You outplayed the Falcons, and you were the better team on Saturday. You deserved that win. Good luck from here on out.
