NCAAF  > General NCAAF  > Game Day -- CWS

Since College baseball has nowhere on FN to discuss the pursuit of its national championship, and since NCAAF has no national championship to discuss, I see no conflict in College baseball borrowing a NCAAF thread for comments on the CWS.

Out of 8 teams...three are SEC and two are Big XII(10).

Feeling pretty good right now.... :)

Two possible final match-ups that look good on paper:

North Carolina vs. South Carolina

Texas vs. Texas A&M

You should. I wish the PAC had a better entry than its 6th place team with a .500 record in conference, but that's the breaks. From what I saw in the SR's, I really like Florida's chances to take its first title.

Worthless tidbit-

In 2011 five schools (UF, ASU, Cal, Stan, TAMU) had teams in the Super Regionals for both softball and baseball. Two of them (UF and Cal) made it to both world series.

Or maybe not.:(

Go Gators!!! Gator's pitching is really good. If Brad Johnson is 100% the Gators will be hard to beat. #5 batter in the lineup and #3 pitcher. Also if Austin Maddox comes back that is another great hitter and our #1 closer.

Only ASU and UF have made the super regionals in both Softball and Baseball the last 4 years. (According to Pat Dooley and ASR)

That streak died early when Vanderbilt won the first game.

JRM,

Texas had a good season, saw the last inning and it was a tight game then at least. Wish SDSU had that UNC pitcher-a complete game is impressive regardless of what level you play at.

Gators get past Vandy in a 2-day game. Nice relief pitching for the Gators.

Isn't this great? We get a chance to see a real playoff in action.....

Resulting in a team that placed 6th in their conference having a chance to play for the National Championship!!!

Isn't it great????

See??? We don't need a regular season....just start the playoffs in Sept....
