NFL  > Tampa Bay Buccaneers  > Or maybe they are their record.

As a combination Giants/Bucs fan and admittedly a Giants fan first I have a unique perspective for looking at the BUCs. I always judged the BUCS this way. If playing the Giants and you can choose any year, defenses being equal I could always expect thet the Giants would always have enough offense to beat the BUCs. Now that this BUC team is a little longer in the tooth there figures to be less 10-3 games. This teamk fo years has missed any superstar on offense and any game breaker. Additionally I dare someone outside the Tampa area or a long distance fan like myself to name an offenseive player. Tampa is and has always been a defense loving town. Problem is that in the modern Offensive period you have to have an offense capable of picking up your defense on occasion. Note that Carolina ran alll over the Giants as well but the Giants have to wapons to match you on days when the defense is not "Shut down". Even at 9-3 I thought there was some fools gold. Were the BUCS really going to beat Carolina at home and who really thought San Diego was a 6 win team. So the BUCS were expected to beat the Raiders and/or the Falcons. Bad news for a team with a limited offense is that up and coming teams and bad teams always historically get big wins at the end of the year. So maybe this team is its record. Remember Dallas and some other good teams are home as well. I don't think this team is deep enough to overcome losing Earnest Graham and Jermaine Phillips not against good teams.

Your right if you relate that statement to the bucs pass yrs. Im a die hard bucs fan, and i agree with this statement 100%. The bucs are known for beating teams up by there defense, and that is why most of tampa is so disappointed in the changes that accured recently in tampa, we feel that the bucs have demolished our D that we've always known and loved here in tampa, but what most arent paying attention to is that our D cant do it all. I myself like the changes, dont get me wrong i still want that monte kiffin kinda D back, but we do need to beef up our Offense, which we've done this yr and than we can work on our D. I think ounce we've worked out those kinks, and match our O with our D the bucs will be a real force to wreak with, now i agree that we never had a Offensive player that can carry the team, but i dare anyone to try and prove my statement about this teams changes and the towns reaction towards the changes to be false.
