MMA  > General MMA  > 5 more years?!

Yes, at one time one of the greatest Heavies to ever step in a ring. Yes, at one time able to dominate ALMOST anybody. But after watching his last couple fights, does Big Nog really deserve 5 more years of fighting in the UFC? Or will he have to go to another organization for this to come true?

He needs to follow in Randys foot steps and retire. He isn't relevant anymore and he can't compete with the top fighters at HW. He has taken to much punishment over the years and it has finally caught up with him.

Big Nog: 2 years max. I hope (for his sake).

Nog can continue to coach elite fighters in BJJ techniques for a couple of decades - and he'll always have a role an ambassador-type for the UFC in Brazil.

Welcome back, Cyne.

Welcome back Cyne!

Nog has a few good years left, and it sounds like he is feeling good after hi hip and knee operations. He will probably fight out the rest of his days in the UFC. Though I can see him taking some big paydays and indulge his warrior spirit.

So who do you think the UFC should match him up with?

Fedor

Yeah its about time to hang it up. He is doing well training up and coming or current elite MMA fighters. I dont know who established the team but he does have a great team around him with the black house. Maybe another fight or two but anything past that would be too much depending on the type of beating he gets.

Nostalgia fights and gimme's.

Cro Cop, Fedor, maybe a Werdum rematch. Let him fight some bums the way they did with Cro Cop. Give him the Mustahpa Al Turk's of the world.

Among semi-relevent fights, I wouldn't mind seeing him fight John Olav-Einemo.

This. And Cro Cop. I agree with Clouis... Any of the nostalgic matchups would be fine by me, as long as they're not the main event on any PPV cards.

I'd think Fedor will be confined to Showtime....isn't that part of the SF contract with showtime to provide a certain minimum level of quality for showtime events? Diaz has the same problem...which is why UFC is waiting for the contracts and tv deals expire so they aren't restricted in the same way and can bypass all the legal issues with trying to change the existing deals.
