Really Ron Artest, changing your name to Metta World Peace? Get over yourself. Why don't you something real for the homeless, sick and deprived people in this country? You and other celebs, go abroad to help others and forget about their own. But we know, helping here in the US doesn't bring them the attention they seek to make themselves feel good. Really, Metta World Peace?

I don't think necessarily think there's anything wrong with helping others abroad. Life is life - and some celebrities (not all) are genuine in their efforts to make a positive difference in third world countries and so on.
(Obviously when it comes to public tax dollars,I'm tight there with ya. I think domestic help must by the priority)

But yeah, when it comes to an erratic bozo like Ron Artest, with an idiotic name change like that, is only going to attract ridicule and a lack of credibility to whatever specific programs he claims he's going to help. Metta World Peace? Good Lord.

"World Peace" will sell a ton of NBA jerseys. In fact it will be the #1 jersey all-time in terms of sales. You heard it here first.

Not many bleeding heart airheads will be able to resist "donating" ~$100 to such a noble cause, and they'll get a free NBA jersey! I predict the pink "World Peace" jersey will be the most popular.
